Oscar Hotel

Our flight got canceled and we booked a last minute at the hotel. Immediately the staff were very friendly and welcomed us. We got a very nice room for the night. The kitchen were closing up but my boyfriend and I were really hungry after a tiring day and the girl behind the bar and the kitchen staff were so kind that they still made us drinks and food. The food was great. Good portions with good quality. They even took us to the airport. After a long and tiring day we were very well rested.

Recommended in September The atmosphere is very nice and relaxed. Staff were all lovely and professional. Food at the bar was nice and reasonably priced. Drinks were a good range and prices. Rooms were very clean as were the grounds. The breakfast was good to set you up for the morning. The pool was clean and the sunbeds wiped down every morning. The Re option staff were helpful. The complimentary mini bus to the beach was useful as it's a long walk to the beach. We would not hesitate to return here at this time of year we had a fantastic 10 nights away.

Het personeel is onaardig en ongastvrij Personeel gaat om 11:00 bladblazen, zo hard dat je elkaar binnen niet eens kunt verstaan. Bij het boeken telefonisch contact gezocht om gebruik te maken van een luchthavenshuttle. Dat kon, de shuttle zou er binnen 5-10 min zijn. Na 15 min gebeld, toen gaven ze aan dat er mankementen waren met de shuttle en dat ze niet meer konden rijden. De dag erna zagen we dat de shuttle gewoon in werking was. We zijn hier 1 nacht verbleven ivm geannuleerde vlucht. Ontbijt erg op Engelsen gericht en niet vers. De bedden zijn heel hard. Het douchegordijn is half waardoor de badkamer nat wordt.

just ending a 7 night stay at the oscar hotel it was alot better than other reviews lead us to believe the rooms are spotless and cleaned every day the pool and bar area is nice with plenty of sun beds and chairs. all the staff are helpful and friendly its a bit of a trek to the beach about 35 mins there a a few nice bars and tavernas on the way food land bbq is worth a try in all a very pleasant place to chill out

Booked last minute via jet2 holidays. From start to finish this hidden gem of a hotel was an amazing experience. They upgraded me and my mum to a family room and during our stay you couldn't fault the staff. They were not only friendly but extremely welcoming finding out information for us. We had booked B&B and the food was lovely consisting of a variety of continental breakfast and a cooked breakfast. A good varied selection of fruit and pastries. The rooms were clean and the pool area was great, the staff would give you a clean towel to use at the poolside. Georgia and Costas at the pool bar were very friendly and the food there was also lovely. We met many friends by the pool and hung around with them at the local restaurants and bars. Really needed this break and it didn't disappoint. Would definitely return and look forward to the seeing the reception team Nicole, Denis and Angelina who were welcoming from the start. Big shout out also to the lovely ladies in the restaurant who presented the food well and kept the food topped up.

Good location, 10 min away from airport, free shuttle bus to Laganas beach a few times a day every day, cleaning service every day with fresh towels. No mini toiletries available such as shower gel/shampoo so make sure you get your own ones, lovely balconies with drying rack for towels. Free towels provided by the reception for the pool, nice bar area open till midnight.

Lovely small hotel on the outskirts of town. About a mile walk from the main strip. We had the option to pay €12 a day for air-conditioning. It's not free in all the apartments. Ours was a basic family room. We were given a tip to go to the Agrillia Hypermarket 5 mins walk away. We bought 2 fans and the owner said to return them the day we leave and we get 50% refund. Much cheaper and better than the aircon. The rooms were fine,beds were comfy. Sheets/towels changed every day. A small dated bathroom with a handheld shower, but the shower was great. The water tasted like swimming pool water,we couldn't even clean our teeth it was so salted and chlorinated. The nearest spa shop sold the cheapest water 6 x 2litre bottles for €1.90. The free mini bus into town is a godsend as its a long hot walk on a busy road. Victor the driver was a blast. Breakfast was a good variety of English/continental food. All the staff were brilliant, they couldn't do enough for us. I'd give this place 10/10 if the air-conditioning was free. 9.5/10. Trips I'd recommend. Kefalonia on the pirate ship. A long day,but worth it. Cameo Island. Get to Laganas beach,walk to the right through the water and you come to it. The boat trip to the shipwreck and blue caves was the best trip. The choo choo train from Laganas to Tsilivili. A beautiful village and a lovely sandy beach. Laganas beach is filthy and the 'strip' is also filthy with litter everywhere. I thought Benidorm was bad.It was rank so we stayed away from the nightlife. The local bus will take you to Zante town for €2 . You get this by the beach. Stunning town by the sea. The shopping is superb. Restaurants between the Oscar and town we ate at and highly recommend. Menta is the best. Small intimate family run restaurant. We ate there 3 times. I cannot rate this highly enough. The food was sublime and Henri the waiter loves to practice his English. He made the experience even better. Grecos is next door. A very large restaurant and the food was good. But we felt rushed as there were queues waiting to get in. Go next door to Menta, the food is better. Nefeli is close but and the food was great. Achillies was lovely. Foodland is the closest to the Oscar. If you are a meat/BBQ lover, this is the place for you. In the main street close to the beach is Eat Greek which was great for lunch. If you walk from the 'strip' back to the hotel at night, get some dry cat food. There are a lot of strays that need feeding. Overall. I'd come back to the Oscar again,but I'd avoid the strip unless you are a party animal. There are so many trips and beautiful places to visit, you don't need to go to the trashy filthy end of town.

Just returned from a cheeky week at the Oscar hotel and wanted to share our experience. It's in a good position. Nice and quite. We had good check-in experience on arrival. Our room wasn't immediately available but we were quickly accommodated in another room until ours was ready. Our room was very comfortable. We had a refrigerator which worked effectively and was a lovely bonus for us. The bathroom was great and well equipped and there was always plenty of hot water. Our bedding and towels were changed frequently and were of excellent quality. The room was cleaned to a very high standard every day as was the whole hotel. We enjoyed and appreciated the included breakfast every morning. Everything always looked fresh and of good quality. The bar was well stocked and the food and drink offering was good value. The pool area was fabulous. Great pool and fantastic sun loungers with thick mattresses. There was always some available throughout the day. The management provide a free transfer to the beach area and back four times a day which we really did appreciate. Massive thanks to the staff at Oscar hotel for making our holiday so special, you are a credit to the owners. We don't normally single our members of staff for praise but a well deserved special mention to the reception team, the lovely lady who looked after us at breakfast every morning,the lovely cleaning ladies and the two guys who look after the grounds and pool. You are all very special people.

We booked last minute and we were skeptical based on the mixed views we had read. All we can say is thank you the hotel was above expectation. The staff were friendly and helpful and always greeted you with a smile. The hotel looked beautiful with the flowers hanging around the entrance, the pool area was always immaculate as was the pool itself. The rooms always spotless clean but basic, which was perfect for us as we used that as a base. The location is away from the main strip so a bit of a walk to restaurants but a lovely quiet and peaceful location. Breakfast there had plenty of choice and always stocked, the breakfast staff were also polite and friendly. We rented a car and having a car park next to the hotel in the shade was also a great plus point. We would highly recommend the hotel.
