Struttura stupenda con tutto il necessario.

La struttura si trova a 2.5 km da laganas quindi ci si impiega 30 minuti a piedi e poi il wifi che era un po lento.

I have just returned from a fabulous stay at Oscar Hotel in Laganas. I went with my children aged 13, 15 and 17. We were in the standard basement rooms as we booked last minute and availability was limited. These rooms are basic but incredibly clean. The cleaners clean floors and make beds each day. They work so hard. The mattresses are hard in these rooms. My children had no issues with the mattresses at all, but I found them uncomfortable but not a big issue for me as I read the reviews before going to the hotel so was prepared for it. The bathrooms are basic but adequate. In the room. There is a cupboard with two mugs, two spoons, paper cups, kettle. There is a fridge, wardrobe, dressing table and tv in the rooms. All of a basic standard but expected this as booked a standard room. I cannot comment on the superior rooms as did not see these. Safety deposit box is additional cost but we did not use this and had no problems. The balcony’s are in the shade in the basement rooms so choose another room type if you wish to sit out on the balcony in the sun. No issues for us as stayed by the pool. Air conditioning was included in cost of holiday package so only had to pay the tourist tax on arrival. Think it was £35 euros per week per room and we had two rooms. The pool is kept very clean and the maintenance workers do not stop working to look after the hotel. There was no issues getting a sunbed each for the 4 of us at any time of the day and this was peak holiday season-21/08/25 to 27/08/25. The small bubble pool is put on twice a day. You are allowed to use inflatables and balls in the pool. There is a volley ball net across the pool which everyone enjoyed. Pool shuts around 7-730pm. I noticed the bin by the pool being emptied several times during the day, even if it was not full which was great to see. Breakfast was lovely, it included fruits, Greek yogurt, pastry’s and hot food. I did not try the hot food so cannot comment on that but loved the fruits/pastries/toast. Coffee and juice machines are available at breakfast. Breakfast stops serving at 1030, unfortunately my teenagers missed it most days as slept in. The bar staff are lovely, polite and hard working. The bar serves food until 9pm and we had lunch most days there and a couple of evening meals. Food was great and reasonably priced. The bar closes at 12pm, music plays until then but not too loud so no issues going to sleep earlier if you wish. There is a shop 5 minutes walk from hotel if you want drinks/snacks for the room. Reception staff were brilliant, my teenage boys kept locking themselves out of their room and the staff sorted it straight away. My electric card for the room stopped working and the staff sorted it straight away. They booked taxis for us and gave advice on trips. They were always polite, friendly and very helpful. The hotel looks very pretty with the flowers/trees that they work hard to maintain. There was a mix of families, couples and small groups of friends. All the guests were respectful of each other and the younger guests did not cause us any issues at all. This holiday was booked last minute so the area Laganas would not have been my first choice due to the nightlife and it being a family holiday. However the hotel is approximately a 25-30 minutes walk (5 minute taxi ride for 10 euros) from the main strip so we had no issues with party noise. The strip is mainly for young people, however we found some lovely restaurants overlooking the beach. As it is a clubbing/party scene the strip area is quite dirty/chaotic. This is not a reflection of the hotel as they go above and beyond to keep the hotel clean, tidy and with a calm environment. We went to a water park and did a boat trip whilst on holiday. However we spent a lot of our time at the hotel as it was so friendly, clean and relaxing that we did not feel the need to leave. This is a lovely 3 star hotel, the staff cannot do enough for you and they work so hard. I wish I could pick this hotel up and place it in future holiday destinations as we are unlikely to return to the same area again as we like to go to different places. I had not realised that Laganas was a party area when I booked and was really concerned when I realised. I did not have to worry though as Oscar hotel was peaceful and relaxing. Staff were the loveliest people ever and made our holiday fab! If you are looking for a reasonably priced 3 star hotel of a decent standard then you will not be disappointed. I read some of the previous negative (2023/2024) reviews before coming but think people expect 5 star facilities for a 3 star price which is unfair. In summary Staff are incredible, food/drinks are lovely, pool area and rooms kept very clean. I would recommend to family and friends if you want a hotel in the Laganas area.
