Maria Rooms

Maria will make your stay perfect and make you feel at home. The room is perfect, big and clean and the view is amazing. I definitely recommend it!

The location of the hotel was easy to find and reach. It was close to bus stops, the main road and the Bahari restaurant. The sea view and nature were so relaxing and amazing. The hotel was so quiet that we could hear the buzzing of the bees. When we first entered the room, we were impressed by its simple decoration and cleanliness. Air conditioning, mini fridge, TV, electric cooker, kettle and hood worked perfectly. The internet was good enough for video chats, and playing online games in the room. The bathroom has a small shower and toilet but plenty of shampoos, toilet paper, towels and soap. The bathroom window had a mosquito net so we could leave it open for fresh air. The wardrobe was enough for two people's clothes. It had a lot of hangers on it. There were also extra blankets. Although it was a suite with a balcony, there were chairs and a table in the room. There is lots of light in the room and the blinds on the balcony block out the morning sun, helping you sleep comfortably. The bed creaked a little but was a generous size, soft and very comfortable. The room was secure, the locks worked perfectly, and a large fire extinguisher was in front of the stove. We felt at home and the owner's hospitality was beyond genuine. They are very helpful, kind, hardworking and warm people. We've already planned our next trip with our mothers to the same place.

The shower and toilet were small for my (plus) size but were clean and worked well. Some of the utensils were missing like a fork and knife when we asked for them Maria brought them in two minutes. They weren't an issue at all.

Maria is a fantastic woman who is ready to help you with anything you need. She drove us to the city, to the supermarket, and was always ready to help us with everything. A fun, bubbly and wonderfully chatty lady who makes you feel so at home in her place. She was also very respectful of privacy!

My stay in Marias Rooms was great. I arrived early in the morning with the ferry and Maria was so kind to pick me up with her car. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was also a small kitchen for making your own stuff. From the guesthouse there's a supermarket around 10 minutes away. I would totally recommend it for staying in Chios. One of my favourite accomodations I have stayed.

This place is the real feel of living on an island without tourists and noise. You have a little harbor 5 restaurants stretched within a mile and most important a little market with prices and one lady that speaks english and also sells bus tickets 10cents cheaper.

Cant think of anything with the view of turkey cosme or izmir out my window. Who's complaining? Oh oh ask the lady at market which bus to go the long way into city center. That way you can go inside the island and see more real chios before you hit the tourist trap.

Our short stay at the Maria Rooms was perfect; the island deserves to stay longer. Anyway, Maria is a very hospitable, amiable and easygoing person, she marked for us top-3 sites to visit. We did it, and she also was very friendly to our zoo - cat and dog. The room has everything you need and even a sea view on a balcony. I hope to get back one day for a longer stay.

Maria is an amazing host! Kind, responsive, ready to help. The place is clean, in nice location, with the great view from the balcony!

I missed hot water.. You should wait for several minutes until cold becomes warm. And the water preassure in shower was quite low
