Casa Vecchia rooms + apartments

The location was fantastic, next to a doctor’s then huge supermarket with everything you need, followed by beautiful beaches which have a stunning view of the citadel. It's a great place for nature lovers, surrounded by birds and plants, you feel like you're staying in Kew Gardens! The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool is clean and quiet, not busy and is surrounded by views of mountains in the distance.

I liked everything. The only improvement suggestion would be to re-grout and reseal the shower.

Quiet and clean. Warm welcome. Very comfortable bed, hot showers. Lovely pool. Close to beach, town, railway station and supermarket.

Above all, the location. You will struggle to find anywhere more central. Literally (Not tourist brochure exaggerating) 100 metres to the more upmarket but actually cheaper of the two supermarkets, the sandiest, better part of the beach with sunlouger hire and to the non tourist trap, local restaurants and bars. It is neither at the top or bottom of a steep hill either, which is rare for Calvi. The appartments are in a quiet, mature garden and the balconies or terraces are secluded and not overlooked. The pool is scrupulously maintained and inviting. Valérie the manager is kind, helpful and very friendly. The studios are comfortable, clean and well equipped. It feels very relaxing to be here.

the whole place could do with smartening up. the reception and area around this and the pool was really rundown, cracked concrete etc.

The location was a fair walk to the city center, with easy access and supermarket close by, and car parking. And the air conditioning was good.

The smell of sewer in the bathroom, very badly maintained room, with doors with broken handles. Also the feeling is that the hotel administration is trying to save money on basic things even though the price charged is considerable. Basic Things like toilet paper is not provided with the intent to force the guests to buy and use the left overs to the next guests. The swimming pool has a strong chlorine treatment. I would not consider staying there again. There are places with comparable prices in the region that are better evaluated.
