Central, espaçoso, cozinha bem equipada. Janelas isolam muito bem o som.da rua. Recente. Terraço grande. Atendimento sempre disponível. Na melhor zona da cidade: longe da feia zona de hoteis. Ha um museu a 100 metros gratuito. Aconselho visita ao forte sao tiago.

Para pessoas com pouca mobilidade, a rua por onde entrei para o.meu apartamento nao tem passeio. Mas talvez não seja assim.em todos

The location is great. You are ~5 mins away from Funchal Old Town, close to supermarkets, and great restaurants. The sea is close by, near to the marina for boat tours, as well as the cable car. The hosts are very responsive and gave an extensive list of things to do, and places to eat around Funchal and the surrounding area. It's easy to get around. They were also very quick to reply to any messages and queries we had re the apartment and anything that we needed. The apartment itself is very basic but has everything you need, very comfortable. and great to have access to a washing machine as well. Overall - good value for money given the location.

There is free parking but it's very limited and not directly outside the apartment, a 50m walk up the hill - we were only able to get a parking spot either early in the morning or after working hours in the early evening. As it's central, these spots fill up quickly. The other bays around the area are for residents only, and we ended up having to park in a low-cost car park about 5 minutes walk away (2.50EUR a day) for 2 out of 4 of our days. I think this should be mentioned as an option to future guests, otherwise you may end up driving around for ages looking for a space and the roads are very hilly.

Easy walk into town. Comfortable accomodations.

The road its on is very busy and noisy and a little dangerous for walking. The views from the window were not great and the patio is very small.

nice apartment, near the city center, we were able to park a car nearby every time we needed. You can use a washing machine. Communication with a host is good, thanks!

the apartment is in the center: 3-5 minutes walk to the old part of the city with restaurants, 10 minutes to another part of the city with a pier, from where excursions on the ocean depart. the apartment is renovated, well cleaned. the staff answered questions quickly on the Whats App, was always in touch, very friendly and ready to help with any question.

Unfortunately, although the apartment has been renovated, every time you come in from the street, you can smell the stale smell of the old house and in the morning, the shower can smell damp. Euro-size windows do not protect from street noise, if you are very sensitive to noise, this apartment is definitely not for you. There is no sidewalk to the apartment along the street, I would definitely not recommend it with children. The bed in the bedroom is 2 single beds that slide apart, the sofa in the kitchen is hard and old, I would not risk sleeping on it. In the summer, I think it will be stuffy and hot. If all these circumstances do not bother you and the most important thing for you is the location and relative comfort, a big city and its attractions, plus relatively inexpensive, then rent without hesitation.
