Large House Near Anfield & Liverpool Town

Lovely warm room and house, very good value for money.

Location is good. Tesco supermarket is quite close to the property.

Bed is not suitable for people with back issues. The property has shared toilet for all. Especially it is inconvenient for ground floor guests. The toilet and bathroom are located on the 1st floor. Inside was cold. We got hot water only after 8am.

It was cozy clean and amenities were all a stone’s throw away. Bank Barber Cafe Pub.

This property helped me out when I was let down by another booking nearby. The host lives in another property nearby and called round to give me the room key a few minutes after I messaged on the app. He then returned later to leave me a towel as one was not initially left for me. My room was spacious and clean. I gather at least one other room in the property is smaller so maybe request or ask when you book if this could be an issue. There was a shared bathroom, lounge and kitchen which were clean. I was not disturbed during the night. Others reported the front door being unlocked - as of November 2023 you can lock and unlock it with your own key from inside or outside so this was not an issue either. The house is 20-30 yards from the main road in Old Swan suburb near a large supermarket. I would not recommend the walk to Liverpool city centre (3 miles) but regular buses run to and from the city until late at night, £2 each way. I never needed to take a taxi during my stay. The neighbourhood is not exactly a tourist hotspot but I was happy waiting at bus stops and walking to and from the property and it all felt "safe" to me. Overall this was a good value stay in what is normally an expensive city. I'd be happy to return

The radiator was not very warm, only the bottom inch heated up. I did mention soon after I checked in that i couldn't get the radiator warm. Not a big issue when I visited, it is not a cold house, but suggest this could cause discomfort on a very cold winter day.

- The front door was unlocked both times on arrival and lock box was the unlocked both time we arrived at the house - The bathroom was filthy, mouldy shower, dust and mould in the vent, the radiator was rusty, no hand towel. - Advertised as being a "whole apartment, all the privacy of home" but in reality it was a ground floor room next to the road with shared kitchen and 1 bathroom for 5 bedrooms - Woken up by another guest at 4am, talking loudly, giving the lock box combination to a random person outside because the were "locked in". - The street lamp outside was so bright the curtains couldn't block the light. Did not feel safe in this house for an overnight stay.

Great value, good food nearby, easy to get to the city centre.

Easy check-in and check-out. Room was clean and well presented. The location was good and easy street parking was available.

It is hit and miss with who the other ocupants are... I was with my family and there was a young person in the room right next to ours and he was listening to loud music pretty much all the time. Stopped at 11pm after asked twice but resumed at 9am Sunday morning!! unless you're renting the whole house there's a risk you end up with one of those.... The bathroom is one shared between 3 double bedrooms and one single. Someone pissed at the door we had to clean the whole Bathroom before letting my kid use it...
