Armeno Resort

Very thoughtfully furnished rooms with plug sockets by mirrors, wardrobe and drawer space. Very nice and clean pool, lovely choice of breakfast with freshly made omelettes. Friendly staff. Lovely beachfront with sand and lots of Sun loungers for hotel guests.

The area in Corfu where the hotel is situated does not offer much if you don’t have a hire car. There are a couple of tavernas and then some beach bars. The bathroom was very dark.

We took 'Junior Suite with Mountain View' at Armeno resort. Generally, the resort looks nice and well maintained. Our room was comfortable and bathroom was beyond our expectations. We saw that the resort can arrange car rental, so we asked them to arrange it for us and they did it for nearly half the price of the competition. Breakfast was OK. We were given beach towels for no extra charge. We asked for used sunbrella for the beach too, and we were given a brand new one also for free. We had a nice communication with the property prior to our arrival and the best means of communication is via the phone. AC worked fine and with no issues. There is a dedicated unpaved parking lot with many free spaces.

My biggest concern is micromanagement of the staff. Very tight schedule for breakfast (from 9:00 till 10:30) and then the check-out is from 10:30 till 11:00 only. The receptionist / manager dared to reprimand us for leaving AC on timer while we were gone to the store to quickly buy some things. The cleaning lady was persistently making us feel uncomfortable by leaving the cleaning tools in front of our door, as if she was waiting for us to leave the room even though we told her the room does not require any cleaning and that we want to stay inside and get some rest instead. Pity, this could have been a really pleasant place to stay. We also noticed a lot of locals shouting out loud in the morning hours. I would say, the only truly reliable way of getting to the resort is by car.

We stayed in the new annex, which was lovely, plenty of room, nicely furnished, good facilities. Sea view and very close to the main property, pool, bar and beach. Home made food, home and locally grown produce. Fabulous bar, cocktails and just a few steps down from the bar area to the beautiful beach. Family run business and everyone was so friendly and helpful. Everyone working at the resort made our holiday a really special one. We can’t wait to return.

Everything was lovely

I am very satisfied with our stay here! The location of the resort is good if you don't want to travel anywhere and just stay in Marathias. Down the road to the resort is 2 taverns as well as a little mart (10 - 15min walk), which is convenient. The room had all the essential items like kettle, plates, cups & cutlery. The bed is very comfy, they provide 3 towels which also includes a beach towel these get changed every 2 days. The resort has a deep pool as well as sunbeds both at the pool & on the Marathias beach. They also provide amazing cocktails and food (I recommend the tagliatelle❤️).

My biggest concern was transport as the resort is located in the south there isn't available transport. There is a green bus which comes from kavos to corfu, this is located in the main village (30 minutes walking distance). However, this bus is unreliable as you could be standing there for more than 45 minutes & they do not operate on sundays. Uber is available, but it's mainly accessible in the main city, not near the resort, only if you are lucky to get one. I recommend asking the receptionist for a taxi service, which they will immediately accommodate if you let them know prior to your departure time (great service 👍)

New, nice apartments by the beach. Good restaurant.

When you travel a lot, usually you forget apartments, but you always remember the feeling how you were met there. Inhospitable...

The shower screen didn’t work well so the bathroom floor was soaked anytime someone showered

very small room for 3 people, the 3rd bed is a folding bed, totally uncomfortable the rooms on the ground floor have a view of the garden - actually the wall of the neighboring property the cleanliness leaves much to be desired - especially in the bathroom the windows overlook the alley - and the alley is used by all those who come to the beach, the beach is public
