Mancora Apartments

The property was just on the beach, that is the only thing I liked about this property.

1. The road to the property was a complete mess 2. There is only one restaurant near the property who only serves lunch and dinner. 3. There were crickets and insects everywhere, the toilet had a very high smell of chemical, it was hard to close the glass doors and the shower heater was hard to make work. 4. Everything is wooden and old. 5. This is not a managed apartment, so don’t expect any cleaning service, soap or shampoo. 6. They accept only cash, when I tried to pay via card, I was denied and I didn’t have enough cash with me when I arrived and there was no atm booth nearby. Even though the receptionist let me check in but he kept asking for money even in front of other guests. I felt so embarrassed! 7. There is a huge safety issue to this side of Mancora!

Amazing spot literally on the beach. Super for chilling out. Even though its a 5min tuk tuk ride to the centre for 5 sol, there are also some nice restaurants close by to the accommodation.

Mosquitos, but no fault of host. Just keep doors closed after 5 or 6. Mosquito nets provided.

We booked for 3 nights and planned to stay at nearby towns at other beaches. But we were so comfortable here we stayed a total of 11 nights. Julie was such a nice pleasant, accommodating person. Loved having a kitchen, ocean view from our bed and balcony. Short walk to town on the beach. A little longer on the roads- but fun to see the local side too. Taxi only 5 sols. Lots of good restaurants in town.

There is nothing to not like about Mancora Apartments.

Lovely rustic spot facing the sea.

The staff was great, and very happy to provide exactly what you need or want. The location is breathtaking, the whole place had the sounds of the waves, made for wonderful sleep at night.

Julia & Mark are incredible hosts and this was one of my favorite places I stayed at in all of Peru. The location is walking distance into town, and placed in a less crowded / quiet area of Mancora. Would 10/10 stay again
