Nereidas Lofts

Location was excellent for our needs. The building and room were clean and bright and very comfortable. The building is quite new and the rooms are well above average for the area. The roof deck and exercise area are really a great place to spend some time. Staff were excellent and Maritza was awesome. She had some challenges while we were there and she knocked it out of the park. We can't say enough about her and the facilities people.

We had no water for almost 2 days. Everyone in the building had their own way of dealing with this, but no showers when in a tropical area is just not good. Maritza got us 5 gallons of clean water for small chores, but we had to use water from the pool to flush the toilet and we had no shower or sink water for washing up. Also, one evening the power was out to some of the building and the entrance fob did not work at all. We found the lobby door ajar and used that. We think the owners should offer a little money back for the inconvenience. Again, the crew at Nereidas Lofts were great.

Everything was immaculate. The amenities were really nice, and having the restaurant availability and water sports rental options downstairs golden. Maritza is an AMAZING manager, and was super prompt in responding. She really provided concierge service and care throughout the booking process and stay. Property is super close to the beach and town…Can’t say enough!

Restaurant downstairs for breakfast. Nice roof (5th floor) terrace, surprisingly large pool, shaded in the afternoon. Very clean, comfortable beds, many towels provided.

Towel changes would have been nice for a weeklong stay.

My family and I loved the location of the hotel. The hotel has a breakfast spot right down stairs with delicious food! The hotel is walking distance from restaurants, to the beach and the malécon. The hotel room was beautiful. Maritza was kind and very welcoming during our stay. The beach is only a 5 minute walk but if you feel like staying at the hotel rather than go to the beach, the pool is nice and clean!

I didn’t like that in order to get additional towels for the pool or shower, you must order room services to clean your room. Room service charges a fee to clean your room and then they will provide new towels..

The rooftop lounge was beautiful. The pool was warm! The location was great! Staff was friendly and responsive. Bed was comfortable.

I tried but could not tell from my booking what our room would be. Because of the online photos I was expecting a living space with separate bedroom or two but we had an efficiency which for the two of us would have been fine except that the space for a “kitchen” was very strange. The space had a microwave, coffee maker and small fridge. A dish towel, plates, glasses, cups and tableware were included. However, we had to wash our dishes in the bathroom sink. Didn’t feel handy or sanitary. When our expectation was a kitchen with at least a cooktop, we thought we could at least fix breakfast on occasion but with nothing to cook on or with we had to eat out for every meal unless we wanted to warm up leftovers. When told about our plight with no kitchen (not even what I consider basic), Marivella seemed a bit confused but she did provide some dish soap and a sponge for washing up. She couldn’t fix the room but did what she could. If you plan to eat out for every meal it’s a great place to stay.
