Deluxe apartments at the Congress

Great location on Ocean Parade. Older style Art Deco building. Room was spacious with kitchenette. Balcony would have views of the beach is not obstructed by a large ART display tent on the beach. Loved the Palace hotel underneath and the nightly drag queen shows.

As it is an older building there are some minor issues. The taps to the freestanding bath do not seem to work but you can still fill with the shower head above

the reception had no control over the air con and couldn’t supply us with fans or toilet roll.

Elevator not working .

The location is excellent, close to everything, the pool views, the place was clean.

The bathroom door wasn't closing all the way, The shower water on the shower head was too hot, I was unable to adjust it to put it cold and be able to take a shower! I had to use a disk bowl that was in the kitchen to get water from the facet below. The bathtub drain plug was missing.

The location was brilliant

There was a terrible smell to the apartment, there was mould on all the pictures on the walls, the toilet roll holder kept falling off the wall, the hand shower did not work. No idea what coffee pods were needed for the coffee machine. Maybe it was once "deluxe" but it definitely isn't anymore! This apartment needs a deep clean and some much needed TLC. The noise from the Palace bar was tolerable but would have been better had the apartment had decent windows! The pool was very dirty and unkept, again in need of a deep clean and some TLC, (I cut my toe on the lining of the pool floor!). Staff were helpful and friendly.

The only good thing is the location!

Stay away if you can! Very loud ventilation from the neighboring apartment building (3rd floor) throughout the night! A lot broken or damaged. Cleaned poorly, if at all. Wi-if really bad! Safe was broken. Doors were broken. The pool was disgusting and filthy (already building foam).

I loved the bathroom space and shower.

The sofa bed was awful and there was very limited extra linen for it. The noise level from the Palace was awful. I didn't sleep. There was no coffee for the machine and even if I wanted to buy it I wouldn't have known what to buy. Also I tried through a couple different routes to see if we could arrive later and get a refund on our one night and I was told no. The room size was adequate but it was damp and the walls are peeling a bit. The curtains barely move and the doors are so old they are difficulty to shut. This apartment would be great with updates and if you don't mind being up all night.
