Globales Costa de la Calma

We stayed at Globales Costa de la Calma as a family with our one-year-old before our second baby is due in May, and it completely ruined what should have been a relaxing babymoon holiday. The most serious issue, and the reason we booked this hotel, was the children’s splash pool. During our stay, there were rats in the children’s pool area, which we have video evidence of. This made the entire splash park unsafe and unusable for our toddler and myself being pregnant. As parents, we were horrified. The main facility we chose this hotel for was effectively taken away from us due to a basic health and safety failure. In addition to this, the overall experience was very poor: * Frequent noise at night from drunken guests, making it difficult for our child to sleep * Unhelpful and confrontational staff, including being shouted at for using room towels by the pool * A completely unreasonable policy where you must pay €6 per towel per day plus €10 deposit, and are not allowed to use your own room towels * A dangerous children’s play area, with chipped and worn equipment that could easily cause cuts or injury This hotel is marketed as family-friendly, but our experience was the complete opposite. Between the safety concerns, lack of basic hygiene, and poor staff attitude, we felt stressed rather than relaxed for most of our stay. We have raised this formally and provided evidence, but the response has been extremely disappointing. I would strongly advise families, especially those with young children, to avoid this hotel.

This hotel is a little hidden gem just a 10 minute walk from the beach! Hotel is spotless, staff were amazing and luckas from the kids entertainment is fantastic and such a credit to this hotel! He had so much energy regardless of how many children there were, thank you you totally made our little girls trip! Rooms are fab, especially for bigger families, good kitchen which we used daily, fantastic set up so everybody has a good comfortable bed, fab storage for clothes, bathroom is brilliant! I honestly can not fault this hotel at all, it was a last minute holiday for us and we are already looking at booking to return next year! Fab kids park to! My only down fall is the bar could do a small children’s menu as it is then very expensive and a child won’t eat a full size meal, but the food was lovely! We look forward to returning next April!

Los fogones de la cocina estaban llenos de aceite, la cocina en general estaba sucia.
