Bungalows Doble UVE

Prima appartement, vreselijke bedden.

Vreselijke bedden (een soort plank op pootjes) waardoor we geen goede nachtrust kregen. Het is verder echt een prima appartement met heel veel kastruimte, maar slecht uitgerust. We zouden koken, maar er bleek geen koekenpan te zijn (dit is later opgelost). Een pan voor het vlees geleend van de buren. Toen bleek er ook geen snijplank en geen scherp mes te zijn. Met een uitgebreidere uitrusting, goede bedden en fijne kussens zou het echt een goed appartment zijn.

The location is convenient and beautiful. The price matches the quality. There are animals, birds, palm trees. The neighbors are quiet and pleasant.

I'm not picky, I can live in Spartan conditions, but there's one thing in life that gives me a distinctly unpleasant feeling, and I met it here. It's a cockroach. A big, fat cockroach. I probably didn't even see any housekeeping staff. Someone brought towels on the fourth day. The room has everything, but not everything works. There's a safe, but it's locked. There's Wi-Fi, but it's basically nonexistent. There's a microwave, but it doesn't spin or heat. The shower stall is woefully small, even for a small person. The doors squeak a bit, so I had to lubricate them. The apartment also needs airing. It's very stuffy, and the damp smell attracts insects. If you're just spending the night and traveling the rest of the time, it's fine. If you're staying longer, some improvements could be made to the comfort level. In short, if it's for a man, then fine; if it's for a woman, then there are some questions...

Very nice and maintained area in front of bungalows and around small swimming pool. A lot of free parking outside in the street (maybe packed in July and August but was pretty empty at the end of October and beginning of November). Quite area, although you can hear people from nearby bars having good time, and jet engine noise before takeoffs. Bars, restaurants, shops and beach are just few steps away. Good thing is that the airport is not far away which is excellent if you have early morning flight. I chose this property because of parking place and airport proximity.

Well first of all closets and kitchen furniture supposed to be changed long time ago as they are really stinky and not in great condition! When we unlocked the door first thing that we noticed was heavy odor. Immediately I opened all windows and kept them open for next 5 days. After half a day smell in double bedroom was bearable but never disappeared completely. Single bedroom had better air quality. What’s the point to keep stinky closets in rooms if these cannot be use for keeping clothes!? Drawers in the kitchen had really heavy smell so we just took out what we needed and didn’t open them again. Kitchen plates were fine but please buy a new set of forks/spoons/knifes and change that one from 1992 and two from 1996. Pots were also poor as there was just one small pot for cooking and rusty (Rusty!) coffee pot. Note for the staff >>> someone before us left electric water heater turned on for who knows for how many days - you should regularly check apartments to avoid accidents, as it is in your best interest! Bathroom is missing some kind of ventilation as there is no window - it would be good to drill a round hole in the wall and install small exhaust fan. Also there is a hand soap dispenser (with a sticker “hand soap”) installed on the wall in the shower cabin but not next to the hand sink which is strange. Although Lanzarote is never too hot during summer time, there is no air conditioning which might be important for some people during July and August. Not to forget, when you change that couch you should choose some which is less soft and easy to maintain as there are “wet pants” spots on it - in average people are stupid and they will sit on the couch wet... I hope that my observation will help bungalows management to improve the property and to keep their guests happy.
