Kamon Inn Toji Higashi

Gret and very welcoming place.

The property was walking distance from Kyoto station. The host actually sent a detailed direction to easily find the inn. We sent our luggage via Yamato from Tokyo to Kyoto, and it was received at the inn. Just make sure to have it delivered morning time so there is staff in the inn. My friend and I booked Room C. It was spacious and had 2 full beds. The room also had a mini fridge, TV and desk. The sink was outside the shower room so it made it easier for us to multi task. The toilet is also in another room, which is wonderful. There is a common dining area and a washer/dryer available. Washer is free. The dryer is 100 yen for 60 mins. Not bad at all. There are hangers in the room and a drying rack for the clothes. The best part is that when you come back at night, you are greeted with a beautifully lit Toji temple.

Luggage forwarding was not available but there is a Yamato transport office near the area. Walking distance or even accessible by bus. Also, the convenience stores might be a bit of a walk but it is on the way going back to the inn, so just drop by before going back.

Location was great - easy access to the train station and transit to see the sights, and we were able to visit the Toji Temple flea market becausw it was so close! The room was very clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and communicative in person and in person. The shared access to kitchen and dishes, as well as the washing machine, was so helpful! We will both be recommending to friends and would stay here again if we are lucky enough to come back to Kyoto.

Beautiful residence in a great location, with friendly and helpful staff! Very easy for English-speakers to stay there.

Quiet location and clean room with super useful facilities. There’s some tasty cafeteria around here. And also a bus stop about 2 minutes by walk.
