Timor Lodge

Breakfast was good and also other meals I had there. Location was very central to lots of things

Towels didn't get changed and I didn't have a bathmat. It would have been good to have drinking glasses in the kitchen

Whilst I believe breakfast was included - I had an early flight so was not able to use it. I also had dinner out with others - so didn't use the restaurant, pool or any facilities at all. But whilst it is basic - it is close to airport. had complimentary shiuttle to airport. Staff were friendly. I would stay here again.

The Studio rooms (that I was in) is at th front of the rpoeprty, closest to the road. Road noise was not too bad. However the people either side felt it neccessary to stay up late, talking LOUDLY outside their rooms. Not Lodge's fault.

This is a full-service hotel. First, the human angle. As the people of Timor-Leste are, they are nice and helpful and respectful. The staff was very helpful. And, the hotel provided me with complimentary airport pick up and drop off. I am thankful to them for this facility. They also provided a bath soap. The room was spacious and the work desk was very helpful for my work. The bed and pillow were very soft and comfortable. A lady cleaned my room everyday and that is very much appreciated. The refrigerator was useful. The room was well lighted - both naturally and electrically. The attached bathroom too was large and had hot and cold water all the time. There is a supermarket 5 minutes walk from the hotel. And there are lots of Chinese-run stores selling things of daily necessities. The hotel is just about 2km from the airport, and the commercial hub Timor Plaza too is about 2 km from the hotel. There was a large flat TV, but I did not watch anything. The ambience is absolutely good, and overall, I had a good experience in this hotel. Highly recommended.

1. Except one universal wall socket, all others (quite aplenty) are Australia-New Zealand type ("Type I"). 2. My bathroom floor had cracks and saw insects everyday. Needs some repairs. 3. A comfortable chair to the work desk would be very much appreciated. 4. Breakfast can be a little better, added with some local fruits. 5. A small water bottle on Day-1 upon arrival at the hotel would be very much appreciated. (I paticularly felt this need because my checked bag did not arrive on the charter flight from Kuala Lumpur and I felt harassed and thirsty as it was very hot, until I was able to buy a carton of 12, 1.5ltr water bottles.)

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel manager made our stay memorable and was very helpful in showing us around Dili. Thank you Kamarul!
