Very nice and familiar homestay with a well-equipped kitchen and nice owners. We felt very comfortable there.

The rooms are noisy and their dog kept barking during the night.

I thought it was a very expensive room for what it was. Unfortunately the mattress was very bad for me. The staff is friendly. Location is a bit far away from the center and the lagoon.

The bed was the worst I have had to sleep on on a very long time. It was SO uncomfortable. My spouse said as I turned at night while sleeping I was whimpering in pain. It was horrible. The room we had was next to the lobby, our room shared a wall and window into the lobby. The light shined through the window all night. And the walls sounded paper thin, we heard everything and felt uncomfortable speaking above a whisper afraid others would hear us. Also the owners had some family or guests with you g children who were extremely loud and kept running through the halls and making noise until well after midnight. We could not go to sleep as we hoped. No consideration for the guests. Therefore we gave up a prepaid night and left a day early. I do NOT recommend this place.

Lovely hosts and facilities. Short walk to main square

The Hotel was easy to find, right on the main road. We rented 2 rooms for our family of 4 adults. It feels much more spacious inside than I expected. The rooms were the best yet on our trip. The host family is friendly. We struggled a little because our Spanish is poor. The rooms were large and well equipped ( example with soap and towels). The AC worked. There is lots of space for parking on the street out front. The internet worked, especially in the courtyard. The breakfast looked good, although we didn't pay for it, as we wanted to try different cafes in the area. There is a fantastic breakfast place 1/2 block away if you choose. The vibe is very welcoming and relaxing. We were welcomed to use the kitchen, which is very well organized and clean. We recommend this Hotel for your stay in Bacalar!

The only small issue for us was 1 bed was not very comfortable. But it is a small complaint and we would stay here again. You can feel the love of the host family, we really appreciated that.

Very nice owners and their cute pets, has a homey feel for sure 😊 The garden with a little pool, kitchen, plenty of tables and seating is a great place to relax. Bathroom has hot water if you need it, decently sized room, not the newest but clean and comfy. Good wi-fi. Kitchen is well equipped and has free drinking water, coffee and tea. It's an easy 10-15 min. walk to the town center which is fine, some very nice breakfast places nearby.
