Esmeralda Holidays Apartments

Stayed for 4 nights in September, central and good for a couple of days, generally decorated simply.

Received instruction on how to access everything pretty last minute and only after messaging and calling. Communication during the stay got better. No kitchen essentials provided like Salt/pepper/paper etc.

The location and views are the only postives. The apartment is pretty central in Funchal and close to the sea front, transportation and town centre. Cathedral is just across the road.

The hygiene, it looked like it had a quick once over. The handwash had makeup on it from previous stayers. Bathroom had bad ventilation. There was something sticky on the floor in the kitchen area. We were there for 6 nights and the bed was uncomfortable, didn't sleep very well unfortunately. No proper place to hang your clothes. WiFi rarely worked so had to use my own data. Its very basic especially for £100 pn...

Totul a fost perfect, locație foarte buna, central

We really liked the location — it was convenient and made it easy to get to different places. There were plenty of shops nearby, and it was just a short walk to the old town and main attractions

Position parfaite pour visiter Funchal

Il n’est pas clairement indiqué que le parking n’est pas inclus. Nous avons demandé le parking à notre arrivée et, le jour après, on nous a dit qu’il fallait le réserver à l’avance, mais à ce moment-là il n’y avait plus de disponibilité. En regardant de plus près sur le site, c’est vrai que c’est écrit, mais il faut vraiment chercher ! Ils demandent aussi que la taxe de séjour soit payée en espèces et laissée sur la table — elle devrait normalement être incluse dans le montant, ou au moins il serait bien de le préciser dans la description.
