Doga Apartments

The hotel is run by a father and daughter team who are very friendly and helpful. We ate breakfast and lunch at the hotel and were pleased with the food provided. I loved the area, we went to a great restaurant nearby where you order food and you cook it at your own private BBQ next to your table. Our 12 year old son decided to be chef that day and took great pride in serving up our dishes. There is a 'ghost city' within walking distance from when the Greeks were expelled from mainland Turkey. It's HUGE, and very poignant to visit, amazing history to experience. The other guests were friendly and there seemed to be some repeat visitors.

We were not able to pay by card. Ideally they would like payment in foreign currency; GBP, EUR or USD. We were not expecting this and had not brought foreign currency with us. This was true for all of our trip, ideally the locals would like to be paid in foreign currency, so when I next come to Turkey I will bring the money with me. If you use a local cash machine to take out Turkish Lira, or foreign currency you can be charged up to 10% in transaction fees! Definitely bring cash with you.

We loved our stay, beautiful room, rustic and with charm. Peaceful area, enjoyed the cats and chickens. Ali was a great host, wished we had been able to stay longer.

Good location. Pretty place to stay. No views from balcony/terrace but on plus side you have privacy. Ali and his family are lovely and can't do enough to help. Defo recommend.
