The location is very nice, close to Aya Sofya and the promenade along the see, offering gorgeous sunset views. The historical centre of the city is 20-30 min away on foot (fans of cycling can also rent a bike and ride there even faster). Lots of groceries around, Tuesday market just around the corner. The apartment has almost everything one needs for a prolonged stay, perhaps just a dishwasher missing. ACs in both living room and bedroom help a lot to survive the hammam-like humid heat of the Trabzon summer. The staff is very hospitable and helpful.

As the rooms are facing a very busy road, its sounds penetrate even closed windows, which makes it a little noisy for sensitive people. Additionally, rooms aren't 100% soundproof, so noisy neighbours may also be a little problem. We liked the opportunity to ask for cleaning only when we did needed it, but unhappy to find out that the cleaning didn't include changing towels and replacing toiletries.
