Disappointing Stay - Not What We Expected We recently stayed at the Samothraki Beach Boutique Hotel and were disappointed with our experience. While the pictures on the website mostly showcase the new building, we were placed in the older section, where the rooms were significantly smaller than expected. The difference between the advertised rooms and our actual accommodation was quite misleading. The cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. The cleaning was superficial, and the towels were only changed occasionally.The bed sheets were not changed even once during our 10-day stay. Additionally, the shower was quite old and barely stayed attached to the wall, making it difficult to use comfortably. Overall, our stay did not meet the expectations set by the hotel's website, and we would not choose to stay here again unless improvements are made.

Το πρωινό ήταν ωραίο απλά οι ποσότητες δεν ήταν αρκετές και τελείωναν γρήγορα. Είχε αρκετό κόσμο το ξενοδοχείο και δεν εξυπηρετούνταν όλοι ταυτόχρονα. Ανανεώνονταν ο μπουφές απλά με καθυστέρηση.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Samothraki Beach Boutique Hotel. The hotel’s appearance and amenities far exceed expectations, making it feel like a 4-star establishment. The pool is spacious and inviting, towels are replaced daily, and our room was large, featuring a beautiful terrace and a very comfortable bed. The hotel is conveniently located near one of the island’s few well-equipped beaches, although like most of Samothraki, the shoreline is rocky. The surrounding scenery is stunning, offering breathtaking views, especially at sunset, which can be admired through the hotel’s palm trees or by the pool. While the breakfast selection is somewhat limited, the freshness and availability of healthy options, including vegetables, melons, Greek yogurt, and eggs, were much appreciated.

The breakfast could be improved with more choices. We didn’t try the hotel restaurant because it mainly offers fast food options (pizza, burgers, pasta), but there is a very beautiful and tasty taverna within walking distance of the hotel. Sometimes, you have to wait a long time to get hot water for the shower.

Great hotel, amazing views and sunsets, the pool is one of their best features! The beach is nice, but the hotel being on a hill, going to the beach is a short and quite demanding walk (it's quite steep). However, the water is clear and we've seen a lot of fishes there. So it's worth the little effort. And you don't need to order anything to use the sunbeds at the beach.

The children playground could use some maintenance, it isn't in the best condition. It''s true that having the pool makes the playground almost obsolete for the children, but it would be nice to have it renewed.
