The Golden Ball Cottages

Beautiful location, close to the small towns and easily accessible in the car. Delicious full English breakfast i would recommend. Great pub on site friendly staff just an all round great stay, will book again 👍

Ease of parking and quiet location close to the river with good walks across from the river and took dogs!

Toilet seat not secured and shower took some time to drain. Not very powerful either. Could have been much better if a microwave and sink had been; provided as there was enough space. Would therefore have made much better on the days it didn’t serve breakfast or evening meals in the pub. Admittedly a breakfast bun could have been proved to the room but much nicer eating in the pub which had nice views and seating to eat.

The price was very reasonable for the property. Location is great for the pub across the car park who have very friendly staff….

The shower is the weakest shower ever with hardly any water flow. Nothing major but who doesn’t like a power shower !!

The staff in the hotel were lovely friendly and very helpful nothing was to much trouble ,great views across the river ,will be coming back again later in the year visiting family and will stay here definitely

The only thing wrong was that in our room the emergency light was on ,so for my partner she found it a little inconvenient as it was like a low wattage light been on,we did report and they was going to look into it ,certainly didn't spoil our stay

The staff were friendly and helpful.

The heating didn't work for the duration of our stay and it was freezing temperatures. Not good when staying a child. They brought a portable heater on the second night.
