Cityscape Apartment in Birmingham with Self Checkin

Absolutely delighted with our stay, view is amazing, bed super comfy, and the location utterly fantastic, the owner seems really nice too

Was a bit tricky to get shower temp consistent, also its Daisy style, which is a bit awkward to use, but the rest of the apartment was so effortless its a minor issue at most

Apartment was a great location and was clean and warm and modern.

Picking up the key was difficult as was a good 20 minutes walk away.

This landlord provides a photo of a cigarette butt on the floor so they can keep your deposit. As a family of non-smokers (although we don’t judge) we found this really disrespectful and upsetting. There wasn’t a cigarette butt on the floor and the apartment did not smell of smoke either. The landlord would not allow a visit to ascertain and damage (as there wasn’t any). The landlord then ghosted us rather than resolve the issue. There are lots of other landlords on this site who I’ve never had any issues with. Definitely feels like a scam to make more money out of unsuspecting visitors. They kept £100 of the deposit and would not confirm any damage or produce evidence of any other than this photo showing no damage other than a cigarette butt on the floor.

Location and ability to late check in

Having to walk 15 minute to get the key and then return it after check out

Location is next to the station, however you have to walk 30 minutes to get a key, from a keysafe, behind bins next to a shop and that means walking through 2 underpasses, one of which had a pool of fresh blood which had to be stepped over.

I booked this facility prior to driving from London to birmingham.on arrival In Birmingham at 17:54 I noticed an email which wanted a £250 bank transfer plus payment by cash only . I had already paid booking.com by card . This has to be paid by 17:00 or the booking would be cancelled with no refund I still have no refund .a total scam !!!!

Amazing location, really friendly and helpful host and reception. Made me feel very safe and way less nervous about my trip. the location was extremely easy to get to and the host gave me the keys which i appreciated!! very responsive and kind host.

The bed was a tiny bit uncomfy but still was very clean and the value of the apartment is really good . It wouldn’t stop me from coming again

It was so comfy like a home away from home we didn’t want to leave, it was a wonderful opportunity for us to distress and reconnect as a couple.

The fact I couldn’t live there.
