The Charlestonian

Good location to explore Charleston. Near free bus route. House was very clean. Had a great kitchen stocked with dishes and cooking items. Porch provided a nice sitting area. We stayed on the bottom floor. Able to hear people on the second floor moving around at times, but very quiet after 10pm - quiet time. Bed was very comfortable. Liked having 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Very convenient when traveling with a crowd.

The 1 bathroom was small…..

Once we learned a bit more about the city layout, we realized how nice an area The Charlestonian is located in. It was quiet, and the few people we saw were friendly. The house itself exceeded our expectations! We absolutely loved the interior of our suite - though the pocket doors occasionally posed an issue when trying to access the bathroom, sink and washer/dryer simultaneously. The beds were very comfortable and we loved having use of the beautiful kitchen while we stayed there. It really felt like every detail had been well thought out. Communicating with the staff was a breeze, and we really appreciated having an option to store our luggage before check-in and after check-out. I would highly recommend staying here on a visit to Charleston.

The only downside was the pocket doors and what they covered when opened. i.e., the next room or the light switches, but once we learned these little quirks, we were good to go!

Basement level unit with beautiful restoration. Wooden panels. Well lit. Modern facilities including well stocked kitchen area. Great staff. Close to historic Charleston including King St.

Wish we’d had more time there.

This property is beautiful! Everything was even better than the pictures. I loved that we could walk everywhere. The staff was very kind and wonderful to work with.

Great location. Walkable to King Street. Superbly decorated and appointed. Great toiletries. Kitchen had everything we needed for our party of 5-7. Place is clean, fresh & very stylish. Each room had it's own en suite bath. Embroidered towels and sheets gave a sophisticated, upscale feel.

If I HAVE to knock the place, the sink drain was slow, toilet paper holder was loose, mattress was just ok, rooms were cramped (I walked into the same dresser 3 times at night and very little counter space in the bathroom.) Also would prefer a non-rainshower shower head. But that's being VERY picky. My extended family thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
