Pueblo Evita Hill

We were told that parking was not available on site but there was parking 5 minutes away. There was no parking nearby and the car had to be left down the hill. The approach to the hotel is a very steep hill, which we hadn't been told about, In addition, we were on the fourth floor and there was no lift available. Nor was there any assistance to get the luggage up to the apartment. The hotel manager did admit that the accommodation was not suitable for older people. The hotel services were not as advertised. The pool is on the roof but the access was locked and therefore inaccessible. The site details mention a restaurant but there was no indication of where it was. Reception was open on the Saturday but staffed by an individual who could only communicate in Spanish. Reception was then unmanned until the Tuesday so none of the issues could be resolved, The hotel owner didn't answer any call. We found somewhere else to stay and left on the Wednesday. Despite the hotel not being of the standard requested nor meeting the requirements, the hotel owner has refused to refund any of the cost.

The apartment was just ok there was no reception

No reception we had a problem with ants , there was no cleaning or change of towels. The pool did not open until 12 (sign said 11) toilet did not flush properly we were told it would be fixed when we checked in it wasn’t no one to contact

Work Commenced every morning 8 sharp Kango Hammer as if it was going to come through the walls. i did send am email to booking.com but received no response very disappointing. I would have expected the least was a courtesy call. Not a holiday when construction going on next door

Lovely spacious apartment .catered for all your needs . Had everything you could have wanted . It is at corner of a steep hill, but then benalmadena is built on a hill . Plenty bars within walking distance but it is at the opposite end of the marina . I would return to this apartment and recommend it. Maria was very helpful

I did not find the pool but reception did inform there was one and she would take me to show me if I wanted . The reception was locked daily so had to buzz for entry and was not open at all times during the day . The parasol was the only thing that needed replaced but I highlighted this to the reception . I'm sure internet was available bit we could not connect.

The roof top pool was not open. We went to the pool at the club house and were told because we were in Bloq 15 we were not allowed to use that pool because the owners of our block have no agreement with them. this ment we did not have a pool to use. next to our apartment 1511 there is a cannabis cafe that opens from 4pm to 12 midnight for people to buy and smoke weed. This was very unacceptable this was not mentioned at the booking. we were charged 10 euro each at checkin despite informing them 3 times we wouldnt be there untill 10.30pm. Paid 100 euro deposit on arrival also which was refunded on check out. The apartment was clean and very basic.

Apartment with a big balcony and huge terrace on the top of the building are doing the job. Great view. Maria was very friendly and helpful.

A bit dated but for the money spent it was ok

View from terrace. Very friendly manager. Good internet and WiFi. Climbing the stairs were great exercise, after all it’s called Pueblo Evita Hill but wouldn’t fancy it on a really hot day or if with a person of reduced mobility. A good location within short walk of restaurants and attractions.

Noisy aircon (not useable), no kettle, broken fridge, no plugs bathroom sink or bath, terrible mattress, broken toilet seat, filthy toilet, dry paint in bath, anti-slip in bath worn out, bathroom fan inoperative, mould on grouting, dirty curtain at patio door, no net curtains, insecure patio door (leaves gap at left side), dreadfully uncomfortable couch (also a fold-down bed), no ‘manual’ to advise guests such as rubbish disposal or what numbers on washing machine mean etc., damaged kitchen utensils, inappropriate glassware (four splash glasses and two small tumblers). Despite confirming there was a barbecue on the terrace before arrival - it’s a brick built in traditional style - upon arrival there were no grill nor ash box. We were given a story that the entire development can’t use the barbecues due to Police / Fire Department restrictions, the identical estate adjacent (Pueblo Evita Club) has the same barbecues with no restrictions upon usage. I’m doubtful of the ‘story’ given, more likely financially led either due to insurance premiums or cleaning overheads. See images for evidence of these points raised, whilst we did have a contact number the reception was not staffed 6 of 7 days and would have required major reform of the apartment regardless. Unfortunately the shortcomings of the fridge resulted in a bottle of Cava falling from the door bucket as being loaded from the supermarket bag, smashing upon the floor and slashing my wife’s hand open as she instinctively try to catch the bottle. Not realising the terrace door didn’t close properly allowed insects to enter (mosquitoes), when we did discover the issue (day two) the damage was done and subsequently due to the broken aircon we did need to spray the property constantly, as it was during the day necessary to leave doors open. Final insult to injury (literally) was having the cleaning staff sweep dirt from the tiles above down onto our terrace and over the clothes drying.
