Blue Palmetto Vacation Rentals

This was an old hotel that they are renovating a little at a time. It was good enough for us but still needs work. Great view of ocean and we did t spend much time in the room but it was good for what we needed.

First off I have asthma and the air freshener sent me into an immediate attack. Had to remove it and air the room out. The pool was out of order the whole stay. The hallways smelled of nicotine. The bed was uncomfortable. It was nothing like the pictures. Not happy at all.

I was a little scared after reading reviews but am so glad I gave it a try! Our room was clean and definitely no issues with our ac as we actually had to turn it up because it was freezing. Our room also had a coffee pot and two chairs on the balcony so I think it just depends on which room you get. Everyone we met that either lived there or worked there were super friendly and even invited us to join a cookout they were having to celebrate a residents birthday. Can’t beat the price for the view, a balcony, oceanfront pool and closeness to the beach. We will definitely be going back now that I know it’s clean, affordable and safe!

If you want inexpensive, hole in the wall, musty-smelling, 3” mattress, inefficient, filthy, extremely dated room, then this place is for you! I understand the idea of no maid service to save on cost for the building, but we were there for 4 nights and if we wanted clean sheets and towels, we either had to pay $50 for a mid-stay “refresh,” or wash them ourselves. Each washing machine and dryer was $3.75, and nothing came out smelling clean. We’re not rich, and looked for a place within our budget, but this was ridiculously cheap. I opened the cabinet where the glasses were kept and the cabinet smelled like mold. We even had to take our garbage out to the “dumpsters.” I use that term lightly. The best part about this place was the fact that the beach is right in the backyard. Will not be staying here again.

The shower curtain didn't stop water from getting the floor wet no bath mats pillows cases wasn't the right fit nor the sheets on the bed i had to stay fixing the bed i just didn't picture the room to look like it did it was just a regular hotel with a fancy name the appearance of the hotel wasn't great at all it looked like you was in a cheap 2 hour hotel nothing like a villa And they have a post on the table like they are paying you to give good reviews and can get a tee shirts wasn't up to my standards of staying in a good place like home i don't live that way at home

I had a parking pass and I had to park across the street and I also have a handicap parking pass and there was a golf cart that was parked I a space without a parking pass they just came to visit someone and I spoke with someone at the general store across the street and he said he can’t do anything about it and I do understand about calling a recovery company because of it’s so hard to get in and out with another vehicle or trailer behind you . I didn’t mind parking across the street but a handicap parking would be nice . Thanks
