Everything about this B&B was excellent. The cleanliness, the beautiful room, very good breakfast. The location is calm, next to the river, and cars rarely pass by. Perfect for couple of nights in Bassano or just exploring the area.

It was clean and breakfast was good. The museum was nice, but don’t expect to see any real Hemingway artefacts or the actual building where he stayed or garden.

The pictures on booking.com do not reflect the reality of the place. The photos are cleverly taken to make it look like it’s in Ca’Erizzo with the garden outside. While it’s true that the B&B is located behind Ca’ Erizzo, it’s actually a separate narrow three storey terraced house with a courtyard at the end of the street behind the main building. Parking is on main street outside not within courtyard. The ‘deluxe’ rooms are minuscule and the ‘garden view’ is a stone wall outside the window. We were in one of the top floor rooms which has a sloping roof so this made the space even smaller for my husband who is quite tall (and this was not mentioned in the description). When we asked the following day if we could pay to move to a larger room, the staff member said no as she said all the rooms were the same and all booked - although that night we were the only ones in the building! And there is the larger room which is on the top floor overlooking the street and river. The staff member who welcomed us was polite, but it felt quite impersonal and she couldn’t wait to get away from us once she showed us to our minuscule room with a view of a stone wall!! The safe and Wi-Fi didn’t work. There are pictures of bicycles in the booking.com page, but they were covered in plastic and as there was no-one around to ask, we didn’t use them. It is in a pretty location on the river, but actually 20 minutes walk into the centre of Bassano and not 10 as we were told - and we are fast walkers! We were quite deflated by the whole experience.
