One Love Guesthouse & Restaurant

The owner Happy was an extremely kind host.

The staff were friendly and helpful.

So Hapy and his sons were keen to look after the guests...always offered tea. The breakfast was a good size. The room was clean...the shower was good. There was an overhead room to keep cool. Hapy organized some tours and transfers..I thought they were pretty good ...I think the price is always matched by your bargain skills! The guesthouse is located in the village on the West bank of Luxor

I found the guesthouse was a 20-30min walk to restaurants and ferry across to main East side Luxor... this was a bit far for me...but my fault for not checking location well. I found meals at hostel a lot more expensive than restaurants in Luxor ..so if I came back I would eat out. Overall a good experience though thank you Hapy and sons

Staff was very friendly and helpful. It sits on the West Bank where is really quiet and peaceful. The owners wife cooked a really delicious dinner. It's close by a corner store and the ferry to cross to East Bank.

We had a lovely time at Habi's (Happy's) guesthouse. The location is a new one from that reviewed in older reviews -- the pandemic hit Habi's business hard and he has had to move and start over. It is a work in progress but he is off to an excellent start and we had a really lovely stay. The guesthouse is now on the west side of the Nile -- the side with the Valley of Kings, and is a few minutes by taxi from the remarkable Temple of Habu. Half an hour from the airport by a very affordable taxi, it's also a gorgeous 10-15 minute walk (dirt path) along the Nile from a stretch of restaurants and hotel rooftops where we had dinner and drinks and spent our evenings during our stay. The guesthouse is in a village environment that we found refreshing and intriguing and my knowledgeable inlaws who have visited Luxor before assure me it's far quieter than in the busy east side of the city. Another perk of the location is that on the west side, you have the view of most of the city itself -- the spectacular hotels and temples. The guesthouse was very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic and quite varied, actually a highlight of our culintary experience in Egypt, though for location you will probably want to have lunch and dinner underway or 15 minutes away with a view of the city and Nile. Habi is a great source of advice, connections with drivers and excursions, and water bottles (buy from him, it´s cheaper and colder than underway). Internet was slow the first evening but then fine.

I had one of my best experiences here, and I'm a traveler. It was the closest to nature, the freidnly vibes, from my own experience if you are looking for a place to chill deeply, connect to nature and yourself, experiencing culture in the most homie sensations, I recommend this place. Felt refresh and new. Great for solo traveler, family, couples, group of friends, and work nature connection mood. The stuff is very supportive, the room designs in cultural, comfy, and cool ways. I'll definitely come back.

The place was perfect to escape the noise after Cairo, they even prepared a ramp for my wheelchair and helped with everything. The food was good too, and the location is near the ferry and if you need a tour Happy can arrange that too. Happy and everybody are very friendly and helpful, you will feel at home.

Property had a decent location but was hard to find.

The rooms were filled with bugs as well as facilities. We ended up staying one night. The beds have bed bugs and I ended up having so many bed by bug bites all over my body so do not recommend at all.

The owner Happy does his best to accommodate his guests. He organized a bike rent for us (120EGP/day) and drove us to the rental shop with his motorcycle. Breakfast was good and plenty - nice to have it in the beautiful garden. The place is very quiet and surrounded by banana fields. Since it is a bit secluded it's approximately a 30min walk to the ferry station and area with restaurants, bakeries, bigger shops, etc. but if he has time, Happy might take you there.

After he brought us to the guest house from the train station, he asked us to contribute some money for the ride, even though it said in their initial message on Booking that they offer pick ups for free. Apparently it was "too far" and normally the pick up is only from the ferry (it did not say that in the message). This was annoying for us because in Egypt you often get harassed for money anyways.
