"I would consider returning to this hotel"

It is only a short walk from the hotel to the town centre and the Westerntor station of the Harz Narrow Gauge Steam Railway. The breakast buffet had plenty of different options available. The host lady speaks English. You can help yourself (at a modest price) to cold drinks, tea and coffee in a separate room.

The only slight quibble I have is with the parking. When I arrived there were only two spaces left and the remaining empty space got filled. I'm not sure where you would park if the car park is full. I didn't need to use my car during my stay (7 nights) so I did not ever find the car park full on returning to the hotel. On weekdays (in June) the car park was never full.

Breakfast was good and very personable. Quiet location and close to everything you'd need from a stay in the Harz. Staff, especially the host, were very kind.
