Wonderful and real experience in a Nubian village. Directly in front of the Nile, this guest house has as major advantage Amgad's hospitality. Anything may be resolved with a honest smile, such a great and hard working person. However, you need to be open minded about it, as you will be sleeping in a very humble and basic island, and so are the facilities. Nevertheless, there so much more to see that these detais, such as a doorless private bathroom, doesn't really mater.

Rooms could be cleaner.

Transportation: One aspect that could be improved is the ease of transportation across the Nile to the other bank. It appears that some operators were taking advantage of the situation and engaging in unfair pricing practices. The location of this guest house is perfect to explore Elephantine Island and the view from the terrace is amazing. Amir, the owner, helped us in everything we needed and made our stay truly unforgettable.

The host was very welcoming, and helpful. However the guest house was really dirty.Bathrooms Shower head was broken, and toilets were dirty too.The only reason I stayed for one night,was because I was extremely exhausted from a long train ride.I would not go back again

DIRTY place!dirty bathroom,uncomfortable beds,

The staff was very friendly and responsive to any questions or requests

The room was not clean, no top bed sheet, the towels were dirty and the poor drainage of the shower into the whole bathroom (as one small room) made the floor very slippery
