location was hard to reach. we got dropped off to the island by boat and had to walk a kilometer carrying our luggage through narrow alleyways.

Best hotel so far in Egypt! The location in the Nubian village of Elephantine Island is great/calm and the rooms are clean. The highlight is really the owner Saef who is the kindest person we met: he welcomed us with delicious drinks and was so helpful in organizing trips to Abu Simbel and felouca. Highly recommended!

Gracious and welcoming host made me feel comfortable especially after the chaos of Luxor. He walked me to a restaurant on the Nile and sat with me until the food came. Felt genuinely cared for. Room was way above expectations.

Outstanding hospitality. Our host Saif was one of the kindest and most attentive hosts we have met on our travels. The place is quiet, clean and both wifi and AC work well. Highly recommended for anyone who wants some authentic experience and hospitality.

The hosts are absolutely wonderful! I was sick during the trip, and the host took extra care for my needs by providing me right type of warm drinks to soothe my throat. I especially enjoyed talking to the host about his background and his time in Nubia. He is genuinely caring, make the stay very pleasant. Rooms were large enough and bathrooms were very clean. The kitchen has equipment to make a quick snack etc.

This is not about the stay but just the location. The house is on an island that doesn't have many facilities like restaurants or stores or for food. The island especially can feel extremely dusty. We had to go the mainland for most things. The roads are not paved so dragging suitcases can be hard. The rooms themselves could have brighter lights to make it more comfortable.

Island accommodation allows you to live in close contact with the locals. It is a very quiet place, but the ferry allows you to easily get to the city

Staff was very friendly and helpful. It is so quiet and calm here with a nice lounge area to sit and have tea or coffee.

This is a lovely small guesthouse on Elephantine Island - it’s a very quiet and traditional area but really lovely. The room was very comfortable, good air con and the staff were lovely. Close to the ferry pier (5 mins) and the main sights on the island. Fantastic value for money.

One thing to be aware of is there aren’t many shops/places to eat on the island but that didn’t bother me!
