Hostal Pan America

The location of the hostal was very central, in a great position. The building itself was traditional and full of character. The owners were incredibly welcoming, helpful and informative. The nicest of hosts. The room and bathroom were very clean and linen changed frequently. There was storage space in built in wardrobes and under the bed. The windows were double glazed to cut down any noise from the street below and there were shutters against sun and occasional noise. There was air conditioning in the room. The quality of the hotel belies the hostal * with which it is credited.

The room and bathroom were small but everything you needed was there.

The location is 10+ for a short trip when you don’t have any spare time to waste. Mercedes, the host lady, was extremely friendly and helpful with any kinds of questions. She welcomed us like old friends and made us feel at home even though we spoke almost no Spanish )) The room was a little dated, but cozy and super clean. It was also cleaned daily. The soundproof on the window is really good.

The memory foam mattress did not work for me personally because it’s too soft, but that’s just me and should not be an issue for the majority of the people. Also, as mentioned, the window soundproof is really good, but obviously can’t block all the loud noise, which is not the property’s fault. Bring the earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

The room was clean and comfortable with an amazing central location. The host was so friendly and despite our poor Spanish she did everything to help us have a good stay- helping out with local tips and things to make our stay easier. Would 100% recommend.

Nothing- all was good!

Mercedes (innkeeper) was very helpful and accommodating. The hostel is located right in Puerta Del Sol. It is so convenient for shopping, tapas crawl, many other tourist attractions and just checking out all the wonderful buildings. We had a wonderful stay. Mercedes also arranged for a taxi to airport at the hostel door so that we did not have to walk to the taxi stand in rain. She was up early (7 am) to let us know the driver was at hotel. Highly recommended.

Fantastic location Lovely lady on reception Good value for money

No directions to find which floor etc when we arrived. The sign tells you the code to get into block Its on floor 3. Large shared pillow for 2 people. This is a very Spanish thing but not for us.
