White House Tarifa

The location is superb as is the house itself. Mattais is an excellent host and very efficient in explaining the facilities in the house and the services available in Tarifa. There is a relaxed atmosphere in the Floating House

As a 70 year old I found the studio room's very small, clausterphobic and the ladder to the sleeping area hard on my bones as someone who has osteoarthritis. If I return I'll book the single room.

Fabulous location, especially if you watch birds. Eagles floating past on migration (September). Easy walk into Tarifa (via cobbled path). Flashlight needed at night for the unlit bit alongside the cliff top. The house is wonderful - spacious and airy, with comfortable seating inside and out and dining room, equipped kitchen and good wifi.

A but difficult to reach by car. Some rooms were awkward spaces with sleeping lofts; others were spacious with views

The location was incredible, gorgeous views, very peaceful, 15 min walk from the port via a cliff path. Lots of lovely places to sit outside watching the ships passing through the Strait of Gibraltar. Apartment was well-equipped and very comfortable. Great welcome and we felt very at home. Fabulous holiday.

Initially hard to find although Matthias did his best to give us directions- but Google takes you the long way! "Off road" track is not for the faint hearted, but the destination is well worth the effort. No TV but wifi was great so not a big issue.

DID NOT HAVE BREAKFAST - LOCATION IS REMOTE IN NATIONAL PARK BUT UNBEATABLE TO LIVE. ONCE U REACH THIS PLACE ITS SUPERB

GOOGLE LINK LOCATION TAKES YOU THRU TARIFA - TO UNPAVED ROADS. Better look for bird migration centre CIMA Centro Internacional de Migración de Aves on google and on boards (3 km before mainm tarifa city - sign board is towards your left ) - follow it for 2 kms upto CIMA and see unpaved raod aoppiste to CIMA - goto unpaved road for 1 km and u find it.

Great views. The manager has a beautiful dog.

Property description was poor. This is not a hotel, it is hostel with a shared kitchen. First access is fiddly, requiring someone to come to gate to unlock it and afterwards you must lock it with a chain whenever entering or leaving the property. There is no intercom from the gate to the staff and telephone comms are unreliable.

The building, the room, the location, the atmosphere. Everything was wonderful.
