Friendly yet unobtrusive hosts. Very kind and helpful in answering queries. We arrived on a cold, dark November night and the lights and electric fire had been left on for us, so cheering and welcoming! Chocolate and savoury biscuits also left on the table for us, we felt spoilt! A generous bottle of local milk left in the fridge for us. Great assortment of teas and coffees also provided, as well as olive oil and salt/pepper. The cowshed is spacious and airy, clearly renovated to a very high standard with quality fittings and furnishings. So many thoughtful touches everywhere, including a comfortable topper for the mattress, luxury organic toiletries. Everything was spotless. We were very comfortable and warm, never felt cold. The kitchenette is so cleverly designed. Lots of cooking pans/utensils and crockery provided. It took us a while to figure out how to use the oven, but manuals for the appliances are included in the information folder. In the daytime, the view across the fields and over to the woods is beautiful. A lovely country walk right on your doorstep. Nice to see the alpacas nearby too, although they didn't seem to want to come too close. A truly idyllic and comfortable place to stay, like home away from home, only better! We hope to visit again in the spring and it will be a treat to come back!

The shower floor can get a bit slippery and there is nothing to grip apart from the glass door. We wondered whether a shower mat could be provided for extra safety?

Really cozy place to stay with lovely surroundings. Hosta were really lovely and the dogs very friendly too. Every thing you need for a relaxing break.

The accommodation was superb. Loved the comfy bed, sustainable products, great, easy to use kitchenette and good wifi. Kathryn and David are super hosts. I was visiting Stem Cell Vet Uk with my labrador so travelling solo My dog loved the friendly dogs. Alpacas in the field and a great small wood to walk around. Will be back
