Melfort House

Wir hatten eine der beiden Hütten gebucht und bekamen das was wir erwartet hatten. Die Hütte wird mit Fußbodenheizung geheizt. Haarfön ist mittlerweile vorhanden. Es ist absolut ruhig. Auch die Betten sind richtig gut. Klein aber fein.

Frühstück wird nicht im Haupthaus serviert sondern ist im Kühlschrank deponiert. Leider hat Butter und etwas Süßes gefehlt. Dafür gab es Wurst und Käse.

Prachtig gelegen, midden in de natuur en geen verkeer dus heerlijk stil nachts. De huifkar is nieuw en zeer degelijk en mooi ingericht. Keukentje, douche, toilet, verwarming, fraaie lichtspotjes en voldoende stopcontacten.

Tip: hang een gordijntje achter het raampje van de voordeur, hier komt nog veel licht naar binnen in de nacht.

Nice walks possible up the woods behind the hut or along the shore. Nice view from the hut

Don't expect the breakfast as advertised on Melfort House website or booking.com- there's some continental breafast items, coffee and tea in the hut for self service. Don't bring big bags as they may not fit into the storage cupboard underneath the beds. Storage solutions need a lot of improvement given the tiny space. Space could be made cosier by better lighting, a table outside and cushions for the oudoor chairs. Shower didn't work well. No information booklet in the hut re local walks/ things to do

The location was beautiful

As an older couple, we found the beds too high and it was difficult to access the door to the property

No hand towel, no hairdryer, no tea towel, not enough hot water when showering.
