The house is a lovely country estate house with beautiful but comfortable furnishings. It’s been a family home for years and was warm and welcoming. Location and views are amazing.

"Scotland at its best"

Wonderfully furnished and was tastes decorated. The HILLROOM is highly appealing, the bathroom too. It was a very warm welcome. It couldn’t have been better. We really felt at home. The best place to stay, with a terrific view to the sea side. This place and the caring owner is worth, even a long detour.

Breakfast was delicious; cereals, toast, fresh fruit, cooked breakfast, freshly squeezed orange juice. Beautiful quaint house with a gorgeous outlook. Georgia was very welcoming and very attentive. Tea, biscuits and whisky available in the room.

The shower could have been a little hotter. Even at full heat the hot water only runs warm. But this is clutching at straws as is the only thing I can find to answer this question!

"Mixed"

--Gorgeous, beautifully decorated home nestled in tranquil area overlooking loch. -- large spacious room with comfortable bed. --Excellent breakfast with high quality ingredients prepared every morning by Innkeeper Matthew. --Matthew was a wealth of information about surrounding area, it's history and where best to explore.

--The Innkeeper (whom we only saw in the morning at breakfast) left during our stay for a trip abroad leaving his young daughter to fill in. -- Not only was he not able to prepare a dinner (as described on website and Sawdays) but made a point of letting us know that his daughter wouldn't be able to either... -- the downstairs was quite cold and drafty so didn't feel compelled to relax in the beautiful livingoom. If energy costs were an issue at least lighting fireplace would have made a difference. -- no outlet in bathroom so husband had to trim beard with mirror on foot of bed near outlet.

"A Beautiful house - A hidden gem!"

An amazing property - wish we could have stayed for much longer. Beautiful house and gardens which were so peaceful. Great place to relax and recharge. The room was huge and very comfortable with amazing views. The girls in charge were really friendly and lovely to deal with and the breakfast was superb. Will definitely be back one day!

Couldn't fault a thing.
