Aviedale Suite

Good location. Comfortable bed. Nice decor.

No oven and a incomfortable settee. The multiple signs in the property on what not to do & the wording of the many rules made us feel unwelcome. We usually experience excellent hospitality on Orkney.

The location is quiet and in the countryside, yet very well situated for the planned visits, The host's kindness and the welcome gifts, The cleanliness and the house’s amenities were perfect for us.

Aviedale Suite was very comfortable with a lovely view. The bed is comfortable, bathroom very clean with a lovely shower, and well appointed kitchenette with everything we needed for our week-long stay. The cottage is small but very comfortable, and very clean. We would definitely come back.

The location between Stromness and Kirkwall was ideal for visiting the area, and the views were stunning, with local walks a plenty. Welcome pack was appreciated.

No pub nearby, and nearest store was in Finstown about 5 miles away meant for those with bike for transport had to plan ahead. Otherwise ideall.

Excellent location for exploring Mainland and also visiting Hoy and Rousay. Very comfortable with a great shower. The welcome basic groceries (milk, bread, spread, eggs and bottle of wine were a nice surprise.

Four pillows would have been nice as we like to sit up and read in bed.

My only problem with my stay here is that the bed was SO comfortable that I didn't want to get out of it, and kept sneaking in naps when I should have been taking the archaeology very seriously. Super safe place with giant skies. I saw the aurora from here too!!

It's not a big deal but it could have been cleaner. All the essential things were clean but it just seemed that the cleaner had been in a bit of a hurry and missed a few spots, but it was really no big deal, just something I noticed.
