"Excellent stop for first time visitors to Ballater looking to get maximum out of the visit while staying comfy and well"

It was small and intimate guest house but in the middle of the city with a large comfortable room and good facilities. The spa bath is a bonus after a busy day of hikes and site visits. Breakfast was excellent and the host was very warm and welcoming with lots of tips and tricks. Parking is free and just in front of the guest house and it is well run and maintained.

Très jolie maison d’hôte avec belle décoration typique et cosy, les chambres sont spacieuses, petite salle de douche, grand lit (un peu dur) et les propriétaires Beth et Steve sont très accueillants et attentionnés. Parking juste en face et gratuit. Très bon petit déjeuner avec un grand choix (à commander la veille avant 19 h). À savoir que les chambres sont au 3ème étage.

Tout semblait parfait mais à regarder de près, la propreté pourrait être améliorée (sol de la salle de douche pas net, cheveux et poils…). Les tables de nuit poussiéreuses. Pas de service de chambre durant le séjour et le lavabo de la salle de douche n’a pas de mélangeur : c’est où froid ou chaud.

"A clean, comfortable and cosy stay."

Beautiful location with views of the surrounding hills. Our hosts were warm, friendly and knowledgable of the area. Breakfasts were delicious and the service attentive to our needs.

We enjoyed our stay at the Gordon. Got a bit chilly in the evening, but Steven quickly resolved our issue with the radiator. Thank you!

We so enjoyed our time at The Gordon. We were well looked after by our hosts who couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. A very comfortable room and an excellent breakfast. The house was incredibly clean, comfortable and homely.
