The location; however, there are two number 4s in the Cross - make sure you get the right one, or you’ll be knocking on the door for ages.

We had to wait for the housekeeper to arrive. We had no idea where she was, so we had to call the owner. Her phone went to voicemail at first, so we had to persist. Eventually, after 10 minutes, we got through - then we still had to wait for the housekeeper. Surely a lock box would prevent this hassle?

Golden Cross guesthouse was right in the centre of Oxford within a short walk of everything we wanted to see. It was very spacious, clean and well decorated.

La localización, está en el centro de la ciudad. De hecho tienes entrada al mercado directamente. Pudimos entrar en la habitación antes de la hora, que es muy de agradecer.

Si no es posible limpiar la moqueta debería cambiarse el tipo de suelo. Están muy muy sucias como se ve en otros comentarios de hace tiempo, con manchas de tierra muy grandes, lo mismo que alguna pared en el baño. No es suficiente con la limpieza diaria de la agradable trabajadora en un lugar lluvioso como Oxford. Si le das importancia a la limpieza en los suelos, mejor no ir. En la habitación hay chanclas que puedes usar para pisar, pero que han usado el resto de huéspedes anteriores, no es una solución higiénica. Como dicen en otros comentarios, el suelo está desnivelado, para nosotros no es un problema, pero tampoco es normal en un alojamiento.

The location is excellent - right in Oxford City Centre, the staff are kind and helpful, and the bed was reasonably comfortable.

The place looked a bit unkempt and dirty. I understand it is an old, historical building - which I liked - but the carpets could do with being changed - they were stained and the place looked a bit run down and dusty. I was staying in the attic and had to go down a precarious set of stairs to access the shared bathroom - and it was tricky getting my suitcase up and down so many flights of stairs (at least 3 or maybe 4). There's no reception so you have to call them to check in and get your keys - so it's definitely more of a shared house than a hotel.

Dirty entrance carpet, smells from adjoining take aways, stained carpets, tired finishes and fittings , freezer blocked up and old food still in , no cooking facilities because of fire certificate. Noise from streets below

Ubicación excelente, cerca el centro comercial y vida nocturna. El ingreso estuvo muy bien, nos esperaron a la hora convenida y cómo hacer el check out. Silencioso por la noche. El drpartamento está muy completo.

El desnivel del piso y la escalera de incendio que está por dentro en el medio dónde conecta una habitación con otra.

Not informed that the whole place was being renovated. Noisy workmen from 7:00am till 5:00pm. Broken shower head. Two large pots for cooking but zero skillets. Got looked out of building after workmen changed the entrance door lock and didn’t tell anyone, spent an hour outside in the wet cold till the housekeeper let me in through the emergency exit.

Location location. Otherwise this would not be recommended.

Someone drank a portion of my drinks in both bottles from the fridge. Room felt insecure with tape on one of the locks.
