Château de Saint Loup

This was a very special place to stay. I would strongly recommend it to anyone. The chateau is beautiful and the hosts are welcoming and charming

There is nothing that springs to mind

Excellent historic venue . The owners have spent years renovating the whole site and they were very generous with their time to show us around the main house and grounds . The room in the separate building where you stay was fabulous. We felt like we had been taken back into medieval times . Our room was more like a suite and the breakfast was fabulous.

Unique experience!

The breakfast was delicious with a lovely spread of fresh fruit, cereals, bread, cheese and pastries, but especially tasty apple juice from home orchard grown apples.

Unique experience. Magnificent historic rooms. Charming and very helpful hosts. Rural but excellent restaurant in adjacent Village.

We ran out of gas and didn’t make it to the hotel until 3:00am. Sofie met us at the gate and let us in very cordially even though we were so late. This is an incredible chateau run by a gracious couple and I would have loved to have stayed longer.

I've always dreamed of staying in a castle. It was warmer and cozier than I thought. Walking the grounds alone was amazing, and the owners take a great deal of pride in the place and renovate it consistently.

The place is magic, the owners are really friendly, and they have decorated the place incredibly beautifully.

We stayed in the medieval donjon in Chambre Jaune which was spacious and has windows overlooking the moat. In the evening we were free to walk around the walled garden and visit the restored pigonnier and pavilion. We brought a picnic supper and ate at a garden table. Breakfast was an additional cost and was plentiful. After breakfast we were kindly given a tour around the chateau.

The owners were very nice and helpful. It was a great experience to stay in an authentic French Chateau.
