The Beaches - En-suite Rooms

Steve very kindly waited to meet me for a late check in as I wasn't arriving till 10pm. It was a last minute booking and exactly what I needed, comfortable room with ensuite.

Only slight issue was the shower temperature not adjusting much and it was very hot. But it was a good shower though.

Great host. Nice comfortable room, very well equipped kitchen with dining area, close to the beach and a great fish and chip shop!

Steve was really friendly, and let us check out at 3pm because there was nobody else coming in that day.

Very good, they even lent me a phone charger

Everything we stayed a few times before

Lovely smelling bed linen. Steve and Anne were vary amicable and helpful. The kitchen was lovely and it was a pleasant surprise. It was good to have an outside area to sit in and cushions in a garden box to keep them dry etc - lovely. The furniture was very original and we liked it.

The walls could have done with a bit of touching up - not a whole paintjob, but touching up little spots would make it look a lot tidier. There was a chair but you couldn't sit on it - it was a very small room but perfectly good for just sleeping in.

It was a lovely property. Room had a beach theme and felt very homely. Steve was very welcoming, showed me around the accommodation and then suggested places to go. Having use of kitchen for the fridge was very handy.

Other guests letting the door slam early morning. That isn't the owners fault though

The Beaches really is excellent possessing everything one needs in terms of amenities and with a perfect location in Redcar, close to the sea and also the town centre. Steve is a wonderful host who provides a great service. From Redcar I could easily reach Whitby (by bus) and Durham (by train). But there are things of interest in Redcar too, for example the beach. Saltburn is only a few miles away and the walk from Redcar is memorable.
