Everything was fine

A warm and welcoming owner who obviously works extremely hard to ensure the comfort of her guests.

Unfortunately we arrived during a heatwave and our room was situated at the top of the house! It was just too warm to enjoy our stay fully and consequently we left early. It was no ones fault as the circumstances were beyond any ones control.

A traditional Victorian built B&B in view of the promenade packed full of charm and character. Ann and Bryn welcomed us on arrival with warmth and continued to be wonderful hosts throughout our stay. The room and ensuite bathroom were spotlessly clean and we had excellent nights sleep on a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was always perfectly cooked and plentiful (every poached egg we had during our 9 night stay was perfect!). Barmouth turned out to be more than a simply a lovely sandy beach; we ate at different restaurant or pub every night and and without exception we enjoyed tasty freshly cooked fare and reasonable prices.

Although it's nature, having to clean seagull poo from our hire cars windscreen was a pain. We were warned to be aware of seagull theft when eating outside! And they are incredibly noisy too! Still, how can you enjoy a British beach without seagulls!

The hosts were welcoming and extremely helpful. Our daughter had contacted the property prior to our stay and liaised with Ann to leave a gift and card that she had sent. Ann put it on a table with scattered rose petals. A lovely touch. Everywhere was very clean. Breakfast was delicious and made on an individual basis. We were able to borrow a chair, umbrella & mats for the beach. A cold drink was provided on our day of departure due to the hot weather. Definitely a host who is prepared to go the extra mile.
