Orchard Paddocks

The location was good if you wanted piece and quiet, outside of town or main road, you could not walk to the shops so it was far and needed car The property was beautiful especially outside with trees and greenery, there was a jacuzzi but it was not on at the time we were there Property had parking The room was big and spacious, TV and wifi worked great, good bathroom and toilet Room was equipped with tea, coffee and biscuits

1. Advertised as pet friendly but definitely not. There are cats on the property so you can't let your dog out, has to be kept on lead - this was the biggest factor for us in decision not to stay here again. 2. We had our car parked right outside our window, we were told to move the car next day to a different spot, we did wonder why, well later on we see some guests arriving in a Bentley who parked on our initial parking space. I assume not all guests are treated the same, clearly the ones with money have priority. That was a very big let down. 3. We were asked if we wanted to have breakfast next morning, when we arrived into the kitchen, the breakfast was already being made, we were not asked what are preferences were. We ended up with kind of a continental buffet style breakfast, to be honest we don't like to eat a lot, it was way too much and I really don't like wasting food, I would rather be asked what I would like for breakfast, how my eggs to be cooked etc. We paid £25 for breakfast which was not tailored. We had oats, juice, fruits, yogurt, granola. All I wanted was some sausage, egg and avocado. We also wanted to sit outside to have breakfast to enjoy the view of the property and its greenery, but the cats on the property were sunbathing where the table was. We said shall we sit outside, but the cats are there, and the owner said - ohh yes they usually sit there, who would want to sit outside in this weather or similar. That really shocked me, so we ended up sitting inside where it was a bit stuffy with the dog. I would rather the owner take the cats somewhere else at least to finish breakfast outside. That choice was not given to us. This property is not dog friendly, unless your dog loves cats.

Lovely atmosphere in a beautiful location, with amenities nearby. The host was gracious and attentive. Great breakfast!
