Invermac House

I was fortunate enough to have the whole house to myself, so booked single room but had my own kitchen, living room and bathroom.

Unfortunately the bed was uncomfortable, the mattress, duvet, duvet cover and pillow were EXHAUSTED. The house was safe, very clean and orderly but screamed impoverishment. As the curtains were not lined, even when shut the room was filled with street light. When you rent a bed it has to be comfortable. Neither of the 2? TV’s in the single room worked. Room was clean just out of date in 1980.

This was a very odd place, clearly a private house in an estate. It isn't as clear as it could be but the room is with a shared bathroom. The continental breakfast was a poor selection of cereal with tea or coffee and nothing else. The sugar was dirty. It smelt of stale smoke. The ironing board had no cover and was unusable. The shower products were a bunch of left over bottles. I have seen the owner coming back and being rude about people's reviews. We are just being honest about our experience.

Simplicity… hospitality…value

This was supposed to be bed and breakfast. Breakfast was if you prepared it yourself with the provided cereals and the frozen bread in the freezer. No host present. Essentially a three bedroom terraced house on a council estate with locks on bedroom doors. I've paid a lot less for a lot more.

It was a lot better than I expected, very quiet and in a nice area, the amenities are good, the house itself is quite large with a garden. Very clean and pleasant to stay in

I wouldn't call what's advertised as breakfast much of anything, but it was good to have if needed, and the water pressure in the shower isn't great but aside from that, it was perfect

Stayed for one night. The house is in a quiet, safe neighborhood and the location is very convenient—easy access to the city and nearby transport. The place was clean and functional overall. However, there were a few issues: the bed was quite old and made noise with every movement, which made it hard to sleep well. The bathroom is shared, which might not suit everyone, and there was no hairdryer available. It’s okay for a short stay if you don’t mind basic conditions, but some upgrades would make a big difference.

L’endroit est calme et bien tenu. C’est propre mais un peu vieillot

Le matelas pas confortable Loin du centre ville mais ça va, on le savait avant Le rideau de la chambre pas assez opaque avec le jour très long en cette saison (photo prise à 23h)
