Maypole Farm, Cawood

Great location, easy access with parking, felt very safe, lovely entrance to rooms, Mandy was excellent at communicating with us. We stayed for a wedding at a nearby place called the Oakwood at Ryther, we ended up using uber to get there and it only cost us £6 so great location if you’re heading there. Overall great and excellent value for money.

Always prefer white bedding when staying at hotels so you know it’s 100% clean and fresh and pillows were pretty flat but those are just personal preferences and little things I think

Lovely b and b. Owners are brilliant, helpful, accommodating and just absolutely lovely! Honestly would recommend here! Over the moon that we came across this, even thou it was just for one night but absolutely brilliant!

Perfect hosts, ideal location for the Vale of York half marathon/10k events.

Very quiet room in a nice village yet close to York and conveniently located to drop-off son at uni.

There was no shower gel and the bed could have been a bit firmer.

It is in a lovely quiet spot and was near to my friend who we were visiting.

Excellent instructions for access. Good supply of tea/coffee etc in room. Room facilities generally met expectations. Quiet neighbourhood but easy access to York for the racing.

Main weakness was breakfast - was surprised to find no spread beyond butter for toast. The lack of any staff interaction (literally nothing beyond text messaging) meant I was unable to try to resolve this at the time. One bedside lamp did not work. Otherwise the stay met my expectation.

Breakfast was what we needed. No Fried Breakfast available, but this suited us perfectly. It was nice to meet other people in the Dining Area to chat to in the morning. Nice and quiet place and no interference, The owner was very friendly and nice to know they were there if we needed anything, otherwise left alone.
