Communication with the host was great. The room was nice and warm.

We could hear other guests chatting, and their TV late at night in the room next to ours, so it was a little hard to fall asleep. The shower was really small.

First class staff and everything was clean and tidy

A good sized room at a convenient distance from York. The get your own breakfast arrangement was adequate and as we had an early start suited us anyway. The pub across the road did a good evening meal. Good secure car parking arrangements and the host was very welcoming and helpful.

There was just one thing that let the property down - and that was the bed mattress. An old fashioned spring mattress which had seen better days. Both myself and my wife had a very uncomfortable night on it with springs sticking into backs, shoulders etc. I would recommend the owners spend a night on it themselves and see what they think, for me its time this went out to the dump and a replacement bought!

Well positioned to go to York. Comfortable bed. Very clean.

The bathroom in our room needs refurbishing, especially the shower. Only hand soap is provided. The towels were hard and stiff.

Host was super friendly and really helpful. Property was immaculate, spacious and comfortable.A real home-from-home feeling
