Breakfast for very good and made more special by actually being served at the table. The host made us feel very welcome.

This was a very old house with history attached to it, which we found interesting. The house was lovely, a bit wibbly wobbly because of it's age, which we found very charming. The shower room was sparkly clean with soft white towels provided. The breakfast was very good with a good amount of choice. James the owner was extremely nice, friendly and helpful. Free wifi in the rooms.

Everything was mostly wonderful, including the period furniture. However we did find the pillows a little on the hard side, and a standard lamp placed outside the room was shining through the gaps in the door at night and kept us awake at times, I eventually got up and switched the lamp off just to keep the room dark. Nothing major though.

Could do with a refresh the mattress was very uncomfortable and the pillows too flat, also I prefer a bath rather than a shower , also the breakfast was covered in pepper which I didn’t like, think you should season your own food if that is what you want.
