Calcutts House

Great location. Skylight in the room was especially welcome as it was very warm and I could leave it open all the time. It was my second visit and the breakfast was as good as before, excellent scrambled eggs and good choices for breakfast.

The shower was a bit awkward and cramped but as it was in the eves of the building that's not a lot you can do about it.

Lovely historic building with all its quirkiness. Set in lovely grounds on a quiet road and in a great position in Jackfield for walking to visit the Tile museum and Ironbridge itself. Our hosts James and Sarah were really friendly and breakfast was really good. Plenty of choice and a lovely atmosphere. The Black Swan serves lovely food and right beside the river too.

Car parking very convenient, nice historic room, good breakfast and a very good nights sleep. Overall great place to stay while travelling.

We had a warm welcome and the room was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, meeting some particular dietary needs. We loved the walks by the river to the Iron Bridge.

The shower wasn't working properly (temperature control). The towels provided were very small.

Very welcoming and friendly owners. Lovely old historical house, plus easy access to historical sites, river and pubs.

Room was spotless and cosy. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection of well prepared and presented ingredients. Owner was very helpful and accommodating. Thank you.

Not much

Such an amazing hours in a gorgeous location. Really was a pleasant find and amazing reasonable. Owners even took the trouble to know our names at breakfast. They could not have been more hospitable.

The entire location totally fullfilled our requirements and expectations. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel comfortable. My wife and I would totally recommend the location and the perfection of the hosts. The Hosts, the house, location, everything about is was 100%. The food was exceptional and nothing was any issues, that might of arose.
