The Wharf Stourport

Location

Booked a double room and ended up with a twin, Was told all other rooms booked up. Mattresses were so springy and uncomfortable. No towels provided and shower flooded after shower and soaked flooring in bathroom had to mop up with the towels. Overall not the best room we’ve stayed in but certainly not the worst..

Excellent spacious room with a view over the Stourport Basin. Decent basic kitchen (microwave only). 5 minutes walk from the town centre. The owner recommended an excellent breakfast stop just 3 minutes away (The Port House)

It's a bit dark around The Wharf - take a torch if you're venturing over the lock in to town at night

We accidentally booked a single room but upgraded to the honeymoon suite which was lovely

The views

The stairs leading to the room smelled of damp, the room had rubbish in from the previous people, non of the side lights or lamps worked , didn’t even try the shower, the mat was disgusting

Great location, lovely staff, comfortable room, great view.

The scenery

The clock chiming at night out side. The venue was not open but not stated on booking. No one on site. Not the king room I booked. Was told code door doesn't get locked but was locked on our return.

The room was very nicely presented, very open didn't feel cluttered. Location was beautiful, loved the view over the wharf.

Unfortunately, my partner found cobwebs, dead flies on the window sill and in ear sound cancellation in the bathroom.
