Holly Lodge

The room was very comfortable, with all needs catered for ,breakfast was freshly cooked and plenty of choice , the shower in the bedroom was fantastic. The hosts George and Jackie were extremely friendly and the stay was an absolute pleasure.

Breakfast was excellent and Holly Lodge was in an position to walk into the town and the castle.

Everything. Arrival was simple, booking breakfast was a well practiced art, room very comfortable, slept amazingly well, en suite was large and shower powerful and hot. Location ideal, five minutes walk to the centre and seven to the Gardens.

Hard to fault anything but if I had to be picky, the shower curtain was un-weighted so blew around which meant the bathroom floor got wet and slippy. Finally, cleaning products (a perfumed spray for cleaning tables in the breakfast room) shouldn’t be used whilst guests are still eating at other tables. Like I said, picky.

Room was nice and bright, comfortable and clean, with the added bonus of free parking in the front of the property. Just a short walk into town to many pubs and restaurants. Beautiful cooked breakfast in the morning.

Breakfast lovely and tasty. Clean towels every morning. Very near all attractions.

Good location with a short walk into the town centre. Parking outside, nice clean, quiet rooms, comfortable bed. Breakfast was fabulous!!!

Excellent breakfast, with fresh eggs from the owner's chickens and wonderful homemade kipper pate. Accommodation clean and comfortable. Jackie and George were great hosts and very welcoming. Would highly recommend.

Excellent location for the centre of Alnwick with excellent off road parking facility. Comfortable bed. Very good choice of hot breakfast. Lengthy window for check-in time.

The shower arrangement. The shower tray and curtain did not contain all of the waste water resulting in extra floor mats/towels having to be used to soak up the overspill. This is a waste of resources. Self check-in a bit impersonal.
