Before you read this know 2 things. I am a very UNfussy 21 year old. And I’ve never leave reviews. This place was so bad that I’ve broken my 2nd rule. I was going to Huddersfield for a night out on 27th September. Normally after events I will go back to the coach station, sleep for a couple of hours on a bench then get a coach. There wasn’t coaches for quite a few hours so forked out for a hotel, as I said I’m not fussy at all (normally sleeping on a bench after these things as I said) but this was on another level. I got to the property and it’s just a house, no buzzer or anything. I was quite confused so called the number I got given on my booking, no response… no info or anything on my booking info about how to get in. Anyway after an hour or so someone texted me back saying how can I help, I asked them what I was supposed to do and they gave me a code for a safe which had some keys in (no idea which ones were mine) finally established which room number I was. Got to the room and the window was smashed, light was half broken, flies everywhere and stains on all the sheets. As I said, I’m really not fussy but I think I’d rather have had the Huddersfield Coach Station bench next time.

Nothing as I found out the room was damaged and I was not happy about the lack of hygiene, and the broken or not suitable and also unpleasant view of damaged furniture. The management team were not friendly as they did not provide a good customer care service when I needed assistance, including broken damaged window which made me feel not welcomed at all. I left the accommodation at the same day as I was not comfortable staying at a filthy place in including a dirty carpet.

Property was close to town.

The property hygiene condition were unacceptable. The customer service was very poor to the point I had to leave as the environment was hostile, the property manager was shouting over the phone at his employee and was very rude. I haven't even stay in the property and have to find alternative accommodation. I filed complain with booking.com and provided footage of the room, bed and other facilities. It was mouldy, bins not emptied, its almost it hasn't been cleaned for weeks or months. I have video it didn't allowed me to attached. I reported this to booking.com but they can't issue refund!

Absolutely nothing, I had to call the police on the hotel owner whose name seemed to change from Steven to James depending on you spoke to. Steven, or whoever he was, makeshift James, threatened me over three times during our check-in and after contacting booking.com for a refund, Steven/James flat out refused. The room is not at all like as advertised, I had a smashed window and no handle on the door, and the place was just generally very dilapidated, falling apart.

Steven/James even tried to enter my room while I had just come out of the shower within two days of us checking-in and him threatening us. When my partner asked him, Why are you trying to enter our room at 7:15 pm on a Friday evening, despite my partner (me, a barely dressed woman) telling you not to enter because the room is occupied, and should be private, Steven/James took it upon himself to then threaten my partner and swore at him, hurling abuse at him, claiming he was just coming to “check” on me. Truly horrifying stuff. As you can imagine, I called 999 straight away and have reported him subject to a statement being made by myself later this week. At the time of my check-out, Steven/James even tried to sabotage me handing back my keys. There are no members of staff around and I was lucky to even get my key from a cleaner who was leaving when I first came here. Steven/James said the code was one set of digits, but none of the five key safes accepted this code. I should also add, it is a scam because in the check-in message he sends you after you have first booked the place, if you pay attention, it says failure to hand back keys results in £100 being charged in the credit card you registered your security deposit with. Trust I filmed everything and found the right code in the end! Never, ever seen or experienced anything like it 👎

PEOPLE, READ THE REVIEWS AND DO NOT STAY HERE !!!! THE PHOTOS ARE NOT ACCURATE, , THE END BIT ,, I BOOKED THIS HOVEL FOR MY DAUGHTER, A LAST MINUTE THING, I KNEW THE REVIEWS WEREN'T GREAT BUT WE NEEDED SOMEWHERE QUICK. THE PHOTOS LOOKED OK , SO WE WENT WITH IT. 1. the host is NOT contactable 24/7 he will only message you to demand the £1 , be careful as I paid this upfront and he subsequently charged my daughter an extra 2 times. There is no drink making facilities , you maybe offered if you would like a drink , my daughter was handed the remnants of a loo roll , funny because we booked a room that should have had its own bathroom, it was a shared bathroom. I booked for 2 nights, had it not been so late my daughter had arrived i would have got her out that HOVEL right then, she only stayed one night , and that night she barackaded herself in as she didn't feel safe, She was given a plate with some loose nuts and 2 bananas on , she has a mild nut allergy, and the bananas i told her under no circumstances is she to eat them. I wouldn't be surprised if the sheets weren't even changed. There was mould in the room , and a broken pain of glass , I will be getting in touch with Booking.com for a refund and to get them to take this HOVEL off here . Please please. Don't stay here , even the most budget of hotels is five star compared to this.

Everything....... nothing about this place , I wouldn't even pay for a homeless person to stay there the night.
