Friendly

The property is full of character with an owner who was friendly and welcoming. I was asked to treat the place like home.

Everything was lovely and it was nice to go round the property and find something different and unique in the rooms.

Gorgeous room, dog friendly, pleasant greeting and lovely location.

Only thing I was a little sad about was that I wanted plain scones (which they had out for us) but there wasn't any clotted cream or jam to accompany the scones. Other than that. All around great experience.

It was clean and everything I needed for one night with parking. Breakfast was self selection anytime which was helpful. I wish I had stayed longer to explore the grounds

Bathroom was separate but not a major issue

The breakfast was continental in style. It was all available, set out in the fridge, table etc for when ever one wanted it. Plenty of choice. The house a country house feel and charm, lots of nice touches to achieve this. Lovely grounds and a good location for where I was visiting. Good facilities inc a lounge to make drinks and a kitchenette with a microwave. Although the house is set in countryside there is a residential area not far away with shops, pubs chippy etc (had great fish and chips at the Wallace fish bar). Easy access and easy to find. As a solo traveller I was able to have a single room - not always available.

The bed was a tad too firm for me but it would be ok for many others. Bedroom furniture was a little tired, but the room was comfortable overall and had everything I needed.
